Kids Flossing

When should kids start flossing? Dentists recommend that once a child’s teeth start to fit closely together, which is usually between the ages of two and six, parents should start to get their children in the habit of flossing daily. Honestly, I wish I had started my daughter into the habit of flossing and to be more conscious about dental hygiene earlier. It would have saved me literally thousands of dollars and lots of trouble and visits to the dentist…. I am not going to make the same mistake with baby J.

We have become more proactive in my daughter’s teeth cleaning routine and I have recently decided that she and I would begin flossing and brushing our teeth together every night before bed…bonding over clean teeth!

Flossing can be tricky and yes, boring, especially for kids, so to make things a little easier and way more fun, Plackers® have recently released their new Dual Grip Fruit Smoothie Swirl Kids’ Flossers.

Plackers Dual Grip Fruit Smoothie Swirl Kids’ Flossers are specially designed with a unique dual grip handle which makes them easy for kids to handle and also permits the parent to help the kids if needed.

These kids’ friendly flossers, feature bright attractive colors with angled design that allows both kids and parents to reach all teeth without a hassle. They are also designed not to stretch, shred, or break, and includes fluoride to encourage strong teeth and help reduce tooth decay.

Best part? They are fruit smoothie flavored…Yummy is what my daughter says each time she uses her Plackers Dual Grip Fruit Smoothie Swirl Kids’ Flossers which makes the daily cleaning routine a lot easier.

To make things even easier and more fun, Plackers now has a cue flosser friend which is a cute and kind of funny monkey-shaped flosser holder that can hold your kids flossers and allows them to keep them on top of the bathroom vanity for easy access. I find that these flossers are way easier to use than regular floss and my daughter really likes them so that certainly makes my job a lot easier!

Plackers new Dual Grip Fruit Smoothie Swirl Kids’ Flossers and the Flosser Friend are available at Wal-Mart stores nationwide and other retail stores such as Publix, Safeway and www.target.com.
