Do you have a toddler at home? Are you Potty training or getting ready to? Potty training can be stressful for both kids and parents, so the key is to follow a few simple pointers to make the experience as smooth as possible for both parties.

The key is to make it fun and get your child motivated about wearing underwear as it will make the whole process easier and less stressful if you get your little one excited about this new milestone…He gets to wear the big boy underwear now!

Keep in mind that this is a new process and as with anything that your child or anyone for that matter, is doing for the first time, it will take a bit of time to get used to and you will need to be patient…Pushing him will make the potty training process not fun and that is the last thing you want.

Do not try to start the potty training before he is ready as that will not only make him upset and frustrated , but by rushing him, you might be setting back any progress you might have achieved. So look for signs that let you know he is ready to start potty training like signaling to you before they go in their diaper, or maybe he is showing interest to see what goes on in the bathroom, or maybe he just wants to start using the potty …. These are some of the different signs that will let you know your little one is ready to start potty training.

Once we have established he is ready, try to help him figure out the next steps. He needs to be able to realize when he wants to go and what the steps are to take when he does… For example, how to get to the bathroom and also how to get themselves onto the potty. Please keep in mind that they might need assistance getting onto the potty and might need a little step stool so they can feel like they are able to get this accomplished their self… Remember all kids do not learn at the same pace and that is OK.

Get him excited about using training pants which are a great way to ease into the underwear training process and a wonderful way to get your little one ones used to underwear with the benefits of a diaper. I recommend Pampers Easy Ups as they fit and feel a lot like underwear while still giving children amazing leak protection day and night, and of course, they also support the concept of pulling underwear up and down.

Fortunately for parents that are going or getting ready to go through the potty training process, Pampers is launching one of the biggest innovations in training pants in years: The new and improved Pampers® Easy Ups™ Training Underwear – a product designed to help little ones and their families during their “Underwear Training” journey. Not to mention that it makes both parents and kids life easier.

What makes them so great? The new Pampers Easy Ups look, fit and feel like real underwear while providing the leak protection you’d expect from Pampers. Little ones will think it’s underwear, but you’ll know it’s Pampers, so it is what I call a win – win situation. These new training pants which are of course available for boys and girls, come adorned with cute characters that your kids already love like Thomas the train and Dora the Explorer.

• In a recent survey, Pampers found that almost all (93%) parents who use training pants for their child think it’s important for training pants to feel more like underwear and one third (34%) of parents wish their child’s training pants didn’t leak so often.

• New Pampers Easy Ups have a 360° stretchy waistband for an underwear-like fit that’s easy for your toddler to pull up and down. Easy Ups are super soft, like cotton underwear, to keep your toddler comfortable. Easy Ups also tear easily at the sides just in case it’s needed. I personally love these new training pants and the way they fit the little guy.

• Easy Ups are the only training underwear with Pampers exclusive Extra Absorb Channels™, which provides outstanding protection against leaks during the day AND night. Dual Leak-Guard Barriers™ around the legs help prevent the leaks that can happen when they are on the move.

Transitioning into underwear is a big deal for every toddler! While the end result is rewarding, the road to get there can be full of challenges for parents and kids alike and making the process as hassle free as possible is always a plus. Pampers Easy Ups new product features are designed to help make the process of graduating from diapers to underwear easier and more fun!

While “potty training” is often the end goal that parents and children look forward to, Pampers wants to highlight and celebrate the milestone of little ones and their families moving from diapers to underwear, called “underwear training.” I really like this concept and feel it is the right mind set to start with the process.

The training pants are soft to the touch and not bulky at all which also supports the whole underwear concept.
