I received a Sea Buckthorn Seed Oil in exchange for my honest and unbiased opinion.
What are Omegas and why are they important?
Nutritionists call omega-3 and omega-6 fatty acids “essential” fats. The human body needs them for many different purposes that go from building healthy cells to preserving brain and nerve function. The problem with these essential or good fats is that our bodies can’t produce them. The only source where we can get these fatty acids is food and having a well-balanced diet that includes them is essential but not easy to achieve in today’s fast moving life style.
There’s increasing evidence that shows, that the omegas help lower the risk of heart disease and some studies suggest that they help the body against type 2 diabetes, Alzheimer’s disease, and age-related brain deterioration, so there are many reasons why we need to add them to our diet, but how can we make sure we get them?
As I mentioned, a well balance diet is the ideal way to go, but if you are like many other people who do not have a well-balanced diet that include these essential fats, then I have a great option for you!
SeabuckWonders -Sea Buckthorn Seed Oil
This Non GMO powerful antioxidant is a good source of Omegas 3,6,9 along with vitamins A (important for in bone growth, reproduction and immune system health) and vitamin E ( protects against toxins like air pollution, eye disorders like cataracts, premenstrual syndrome, neurological diseases and more).
The Sea Buckthorn seed oil is said to be the best plant based Omega- 3 source….A lot of people like the fish oil as a source for omega 3, but I personally do not like the after taste and prefer this plant base alternative which is available in two different formats: 1fl.oz ( 30 ml) and 60 count soft gels /500mg each.
I opted for the soft gels just because I did not know what it would taste like and with the soft gels I do not have any taste.
The sea buckthorn seed oil is:
USDA Certified Organic*
Non-GMO Project Verified
Super Critical Extract
Both choices have a retail price of $34.97.
