When the time came and the ladybug was born ( 3 weeks earlier than expected) DH and I had not decided if we were going to let her have a pacifier ( bobo as we call it in my country), but when the nurse brought her in for her feeding the day she was born, she came in with a pacifier in her mouth. So that was that and the little bug did not let go of her bobo until she turned 3 which in retrospect I think I should thank the nurse as it could have been a lot worse. She could have taken her thumb and that is a lot more difficult habit to break…Since you can’t really get rid of the thumb and all .

Not long ago I was given the opportunity to do a review on difrax pacifiers, and while the ladybug was not in need of a bobo any more, I am able to tell you about this pacifier and its different features.

First off let me start by telling you that difrax actually offers more than pacifiers and their products include the award winning BtoB mommy friendly breast pump. For this review I received the difrax ortho pacifier which comes in a two pack and in this particular case is the 0-6 months design…The pacifier is offered in different sizes for the different stages of your baby.

The difrax ortho pacifier comes in a selection of fun colors and prints. This small orthodontic style pacifier, as mentioned before, is for babies ages0- 6 and according to drifax, The pacifier stimulates the development of the palate and the muscles of the jaw and mouth. What I can tell you about this pacifier, is that it has an ergonomic design that looks very comfortable for the baby … the pacifier is designed in such way that keeps the nose free, and it has holes on the bottom to prevent skin irritation that can be cause by baby’ drool.

I really like the fact that they have created different pacifiers for the different age groups as the baby’s needs change as they grow. The difrax ortho pacifier is available in 0-6 moths, 6+ months and 18+ months formats.
The pacifier has a retail price of $5.99 for a two pack in any of the different formats and it is available at selected retailers.
