Fagor provided me with a 6 Qt. Chef pressure cooker for this review. I was not financially compensated for this post. My opinions are my own and not by any means influenced by any other part.
I first discovered the Fagor brand while living in Spain …Many of the homes I visited or lived in while I was in the country had Fagor cook tops, so I am very familiar with the brand…The European brand carries a varied selection of products like Pressure Cookers, Induction Cooktops (Portable & Built In), Small Appliances, Induction ready cookware, Refrigerators, Convection Ovens, Range Hoods, Dishwashers, Gas and Radiant cooktops, as well as Washing Machines and Dryers.
Among the different products in the Fagor catalog, you will find the Fagor Chef Pressure Cooker made of high quality 18/10 Stainless Steel. The Chef pressure cooker features a pressure Indicator with different positions – the 1st – indicates LOW pressure (8 psi) and the 2nd indicates HIGH pressure (15 psi), easy automatic release setting and many other features that are meant not only to provide you with an optimal cooking experience, but also very welcomed safety features.
The Fagor Chef Pressure Cooker was made with ease of use in mind and for that purpose, you will find that the pressure cooker has a detachable Timer/Alarm that gives you 100 minutes of available time for the different recipes you might be using this unit for. In addition and to facilitate cleaning, the Fagor Chef Pressure Cooker also has a valve removing position.
On the pressure cooker lid you will find a small sticker with instruction that proves to be very handy on how to open and close your pressure cooker until you learn how to do it without the need to follow instructions as there is a little marker that you’ll have to bring to the correct position in order to open the pressure cooker and also it specifies if you need to turn it right or left depending if you are closing or opening the pressure cooker.
What I love the most about this unit is the 3 security valves present in the pressure cooker. The unit automatically locks the lid while pressure is still inside and if lid is not closed properly, the unit will not create any additional pressure which is just awesome (I would still be careful while using a pressure cooker, no matter how many safety features are present, and never let kid’s around them).
This versatile pressure cooker comes with a 10” Tempered Glass Lid that allows the body to be used as a traditional cooking pot, Steamer/ Grater Basket with Trivet, or for steaming vegetables. Also included is a DVD with information on the basics of using a pressure cooker.
The Fagor Chef Pressure Cooker is available in three different sizes: 6qt, 8qt and 10qt.
Fagor has kindly offered one lucky Born 2 Impress reader, the chance to win a free 6 Qt Chef Pressure Cooker.
