This is week 6 since I went back on the nutrisystem program and this week I have been struggling to stay away from sweets…I am a stress eater and this week has been a stressful week which makes me crave some comfort foods…The main issue with that is that my favorite comfort food is chocolate and we all know what that means, lots and lots of calories. I am trying really hard to stay away from those mischievous Hershey Kisses and making sure that I do not have them in the house. As a matter of fact, I am keeping the house as sugar free as I can.
Luckily for me, I ordered plenty of the Nutrisystem ice cream sandwiches and that is helping with my chocolate cravings!
My shoulder is still messed up so no weightlifting for me just yet, which is seriously driving me crazy. I still have no word of when my trainer is coming back in town and I am having a hard time getting an exercise partner. So for now, it is just me and the baby going on walks.
I have really been trying to find my way to the gym, but I am miserable with the shoulder problem and that makes the whole thing more difficult. The one thing I am doing is cooking more and more healthy dishes and home cooked meals for the family. I have been reading through some of the recipes in the leaf and actually integrating them in my family meals. They do not need to lose weight, but eating healthy is a lot more than losing weight!
I am shopping in a smarter way and trying to stay away from some foods and adding more greens and veggies along with fruits to the house hold menu. As a matter of fact I am trying to substitute the sweets with grapes and bananas… and to make them even more refreshing , I am freezing them. That way I just have to grab some grapes when I am craving something sweet. Bananas are also very tasty and the baby loves them as well, so we can snack together and I do not feel guilty afterwards.
As a member of the Nutrisystem Nation Blogger Program, Nutrisystem provided me with food and program to review. My opinions are my own and not by any means influenced by any other part.
