Svan of Sweden began in 1996 with the Svan High Chair (now known as the Signet), designed by two dads, Kjell Hagström and Anders Fallman. The bentwood high chair, lauded for its sturdy, stylish, and adjustable design, quickly gained international popularity and the collection expanded to include products such as toddler tables and ride-on toys.
In 2011, Scandinavian Child, a leading manufacturer and distributor of innovative, functional and stylish children’s products, acquired Svan.
I discovered Svan about a year ago and I immediately fell in love with the design and the modern look of their products. I have been looking for a table set for the ladybug and Svan has a gorgeous set that I actually received in Cherry color. You can see the complete review for the Play-With-Me Toddler Table and Chairs HERE.
I have mentioned in previous posts that we have the intention to go for the second child this year and we have already changed my insurance to cover maternity.
That is not the only thing I have done, I have actually started an extensive search for the best baby products in the market and since we had such a great experience with Svan, I wanted to add one of their great products to my list of babie must haves and in this opportunity I bring you the Svan Baby-to-Booster Bentwood High Chair.
The Svan Baby-to-Booster Bentwood High Chair features a striking design with three available finishes. The high chair also features an easy to clean seat pad that easily blends in with any décor.
The Svan products that I have had the chance to review have the quality, attention to detail and beautiful high end design as a common denominator.
The Svan Baby-to-Booster Bentwood High Chair is fairly easy to put together and has some really great features like the fact that the chair folds for convenient storage ( this is huge for people like me with limited space). The chair comes with a wipeable, removable seat cushion. The chair which fits at a standard table height also features a one-handed quick release tray and a removable crotch bar and guard that comes in very handy when the kids are growing. ( The inner tray release trigger got jammed a couple of times, but not a deal breaker)
The chair also features a solid, sturdy construction, 5 point adjustable harness and a tool-free adjustable footrest for ergonomic seating.
Among my favorite features is the felt pads on the base that protects floors and since we are planning to change our carpet for wood flooring, this is a much appreciated feature.
The Svan Baby-to-Booster Bentwood High Chair is certainly very trendy and easily blends with the rest of the décor in our place, needless to say I think this is a very stylish and trendy option for any kid’s high chair that will not only deliver a high quality piece of furniture, but that will also grow along with your kids as you can start using this chair with kids as young as 6 months and as old as 5 years, so you really get a lot for your buck…I changed chairs/ booster seats 3 times with the ladybug and with one chair you can avoid over spending and clutter as the chair adapts to your growing child’s needs.
As mentioned before the Svan Baby-to-Booster Bentwood High Chair is available in three different finishes and has a retail price of : $180
