If you asked me a couple of years ago what did I consider a watch to be my answer would had been without a doubt : A time telling device, but if you asked me right now I would have to say that a watch is an accessory that can tell time!

I used to not pay much attention to my watch and would get whatever watch I found and liked and I would use it for as long as it was working.

The idea I had about watches and how to wear them has completely evolved thanks to different and beautiful watch designs that are available and that can be a very important piece of your whole outfit ensemble and can dress up or dress down whatever you are wearing.

The right watch for you

I have very small wrists and always thought that small watches were best for me, but I have realized that the size does not matter as long as the watch represents your dress and lifestyle. A big watch might be the way to go today, but a smaller size can be the best thing for you tomorrow.

Try and see different styles and sizes to help you figure out what designs go better with your style.

Bold or classic

That is always a good question to start with when you are shopping for a watch or any accessory for that matter.

Personally I believe that it depends of what you are wearing, but you can also opt for a watch that combines the best of both worlds like the beautiful Classic Petite Ashfield by Daniel Welling featuring a sophisticated mate black mesh and ultra-thin design along with silver or rose gold detail to complete a striking and trendy look.

Great for any occasion and an amazing addition to any wardrobe, this watch will sit comfortable on your wrist and will be striking by itself or by complementing accessories to create an even more dashing look.

Black is probably not the color I would have thought to have in a watch, but these silver and rose gold combinations along with the black mate start to look really sharp and super stylish and will look wonderful when you are dressed in casual clothing like a pair of jeans and a shirt and will look equally astonishing with a more formal attire.

Mix and match

You have the option to go with a watch that allows you to play around with the look and a watch with interchangeable straps which is a great way to change the look without having to go through the expense of buying a full price watch.

I love being able to play with and change the look of my watch so it can complement whatever I am wearing at the moment and also gives the feeling of a brand new watch for just a portion of the money.

So what do you think, are watches a time telling tool or an accessory?
