If you do a Google search for best children wagons, you will see a name show up over and over again: Radio Flyer. Radio Flyer wagons had been part of the American lives for close to a hundred year. A lot has changed since Antonio Pasin started to make his wagons in 1917. By 1923, Pasin’s business grew to include several employees. They then became known as the Liberty Coaster Company, named after the Statue of Liberty, and soon created their first wagon Ð the Liberty Coaster. The No. 4 Liberty Coaster was handcrafted in wood and sold directly to stores by Pasin himself.
The wagons had change since the first prototype and many different and improved designs had been added to the Radio Flyer wagon family!
I recently had the chance to try the Radio Flyer Ultimate Family Wagon. This very versatile wagon features a 5- way flip and fold seat that can be set up as follow:
1. 2 children in seats with parent access storage
2. 1 child in seat + covered storage area
3. 1 child in seat + extra large storage area
4. 1 child in seat + tray table for drawing or eating + storage area
5. Seats fold flat for flatbed wagon
The wagon’s quality is what you can expect on a Radio Flyer product, the wagon is very sturdy and constructed with solid materials (supports up to 200 lbs). One of my very favorite features is the UV protection canopy…..That is something that I can always appreciate in sunny Florida!
The great thing about these wagons is that they can be used for so many things…..Last Halloween we went trick or treating around my SIL’s neighborhood and instead of bringing four strollers for the kiddies, we got all the kids in my SIL’s Radio Flyer wagon and off we went.
This Halloween we are going to do just the same and bring the ladybug’s wagon for the walk through the neighborhood…..Not only is it easier on the moms, but the kids have a great time ridding together and you can keep an eye on all of them at the same time.
