Summer is here and colorful and bright is certainly a big part of the trend and that includes color clothing pieces you might not have expected before….Yes, I am talking about shoes. As you probably know, shoes are kind of my thing. Not long ago I found a new brand of shoes with a very interesting line and as you probably guessed, they are very colorful, but more importantly, they are also ecofriendly, comfortable and fashion forward.OTZSHOES takes you on a journey back in time to a prehistoric man called “Oetzi” who has been carbon dated to 3300 B.C. His mummified body, unveiled from his frozen state by “global warming,” was wearing nothing more than the basic essentials he needed for survival–gear for protection and warmth, as well as a unique pair of shoes.

Inspired by the simple yet functional design of Oetzi’s shoes OTZ Shoes was born and I must say I am really happy I came across their site and had the chance to try one of their shoes. OTZ gave me the opportunity to try one of their OTZ300GMS Linen design shoes.

Unique and unconventional are two words that come to mind when I think of the OTZ300GMS Linen shoes which I picked in a bright green color (Fluoro). The shoes are Italian made coarse linen that has been stone washed for a fresh and very different look and feel…The OTZ300GMS has a very laid back almost bohemian appearance.

The shoes are a bit tight at first….you need a little break-in period to allow the shoes to be a very comfortable pair of shoes. The OTZ300GMS features an anti-microbial cork footbed that is anatomically designed to promote a healthy posture and that will gradually compress and adapt to your foot…So basically, the more you wear the shoes, the more comfortable they become!

The shoes are also very light weight which adds to the comfort of the shoes…In addition, the upper of the shoe is stitched directly to the outsole fashioning a distinctive design with minimal use of glues. In addition natural jute is co-molded with the rubber outsole in white color that contrasts really nicely with the upper to complete this one of a kind shoe.The OTZ300GMS Linen shoes are available in a really neat color selection that will brighten your summer and wardrobe!
