I recently had to go on a trip ( actually 2), and of course I had to take the baby with me…While traveling by yourself and a little one is not easy, there are products out there that can make your life a lot easier. So, when you are on a trip and have your little one with you, here is a little advice.
The first thing you need to know, is that you need to travel as light as possible, as you will need to tend to the baby. So, if at all possible try to avoid carry-on luggage, but if not possible, get smart about your carry-on…I for instance, took the Thule Crossover Carry-on 22”/56cm, light weight, easy to roll and convertible! That is right; this beauty easily goes from a carry-on roller to a backpack in a matter of seconds and with no hassle.
Pack some toys in the carry on so you can easily get to them on the flight and at any time the baby gets fussy…His favorite blanket will make him feel secure and allow him to sleep while on the plane.
If your baby is teething, then a teething toy is a must, but again it is all about smart packing. That is the reason I wear a chew necklace from ChewBeads and you and the baby have access to it all time and you do not need to worry about packing an extra toy.
If you are traveling international like we did, make sure you bring all he is going to need for the trip, especially his medicines (I packed, allergy medicine, Motrin and diaper rash ointment). I packed these in my 1st Grooming Kit by Safety 1st which already comes with a thermometer, Soft Grip Brush & Comb, Fold-Up Nail Clippers, Spritzer bottle and 5 emery boards! If he takes any special medicine or has a certain soap he uses because of a skin condition, think if those are things that might not be easy to find overseas.

If mosquitoes are present to where you are going, make sure to pack some baby friendly ( organic if possible), mosquito repellent and a mosquito net to keep your baby mosquito bite free!
One more thing, also for breastfeeding moms to bring along in your carry-on, is a cover so you can feed the baby at any time and do not have to worry about bringing milk into the plane…no warming, no wait and no security check!
