We received Real Kids Shades in exchange for our honest and unbiased opinion.

According to the American Optometric Association, you should always wear sunglasses during the daylight hours because they protect your eyes against the sun’s damaging UV rays, which can lead to cataracts. Sunglasses protect against “blue light” from the solar spectrum, which can increase the risk of macular degeneration…While a lot of people think that sun glasses on babies is more of a cute or a luxury factor. However, the reality is that sunglasses protect baby’s eyes and the sooner you introduce your little munchkin to sunglasses, the better!

Real kids Shades

Providing kids with real sunglasses since 2002, they have been protecting children’s eyes from the damaging effects of UV radiation while proving super cute sunglasses for kids 0+ to adulthood.

I live in South Florida, so sunglasses are a must all year around and I want to make sure that both my kid’s eyes are protected when we are out and about!

My First Shades – Baby – 0+ great for little babies, these sunglasses, feature polycarbonate frames with a wraparound frame and comfortable adjustable band so your little one’s eyes are protected from all angles while keeping him comfortable. And since the band is flat, it will not bother the baby while lying on the car seat or stroller.

The frame is bendable…at least baby J have not been able to break them which is of course a good thing. The bands will also keep them in place, so even if your baby is like mine who has a little flat nose, the sunglasses will not fall off.

My First Shades are available in 6 different colors to match your little one’s personality and have a retail price of $14.95.

Not only are they cute, the baby seems to be very comfortable with them and while he can be a little tough sometimes, the sunglasses have resist all the biting and bending they have been exposed to.

These are stylish mother designed sunglasses that you expect to see in older kids and even adults, but made in great color combinations and quality materials for your kids to enjoy.

The Explorer – Baby – 0+ – P2 Polarized Lens have a retail price of $29.95 and while you might think the price tag is a little high, keep in mind that these are not cheaply made kiddie glasses that will break the minute your baby gets a hold of them. Also, don’t forget that these lenses are actually polarized, so they are worth every penny!

For the little fashionista

The lenses are perfect for little girls with a sense of fashion and style available in a variety of colors, the Breeze with P2 Polarized Lens technology (high quality polarized lens that the brand is calling P2 … They are wrapping a 100% polarized lens in injected polycarbonate material to create a shatterproof polarized lens).

The Bolt is light weight and as with the other sunglasses I tried, features a wraparound design to minimize peripheral lighting. Just like the rest of the sunglasses in this review, they are bendable, scratch proof and come in a very convenient pouch with a hook that allows you to attach them to their backpacks, or even a stroller.
The Bolt in the polarized design and has a retail price of $29.95.
