While I was living is Spain I had the opportunity of visiting my friends’ homes and to eat dinner and lunch with their families and all of them had one thing in common. Wine was pretty much always a part of the meal…Spain has a great selection of wines and a lot of their people swear that wine is actually great for your health.
I found a very interesting post in the Rusty Solomon’s Health and Nutrition blog where Mr. Solomon talks about Eight Reasons Why it is Healthy to Drink Wine…according to his post drinking wine in moderate recommended amounts may prevent some real health issues like heart attacks, strokes and some other health problems.
I personally found the post very interesting and it has ignited my curiosity and desire of learning more about the wines properties. I am not a big drinker, but a glass of wine is welcome when having a nice dinner or when entertaining. One thing is for sure, that any alcoholic drink has to be drunk responsibly and never, ever drink and drive!
Rusty Solomon makes reference to some studies in the subject and truth be told the information on the post is easy to read and very informative.
