I’m in the process of making our home a smart one, and I decided that I was sick and tired of the kids losing the remotes AGAIN, that or when someone changes the input and doesn’t know how to get it back and it necessitates and emergency for me to “fix the TV”.
We’ve been going with Alexa throughout the house, and this sounded like a good idea for an integration. After some research, I found that the Harmony Hub from Logitech could interface with all of our DVR, TV, and Stereo equipment. Not only that, but it has skill sets to interface with Alexa. The end result? I am now able to turn on / off the TV – tell it what to do – and it auto adjusts to which input, adjusts the different pieces at the same time. All from my voice.
Now in the living room – I can say “Alexa, turn on the TV” – “Alexa, change the channel to Disney” and it DOES IT !!!!

Oh – the hub can also work behind closed cabinets with the included IR extender.
