Do you create a baby wish list when you are expecting? I am not quite there yet, but since I had a really hard pregnancy the first time around and was bed ridden pretty much all my pregnancy, I decided to start with my list. I have been researching products even before I am pregnant (which I am hoping will be pretty soon). So you will see lots of baby products featured in the next few months and I just received a press release featuring a product that is right on top of my baby whish list!

Barcelona, Spain — (March 2014) – Barcelona, Spain-based Babyhome, a manufacturer of high-quality, stylish and functional children’s products is pleased to announce that their so-ro cradle is the recipient of a Cribsie New Arrival Award in the 2014 The Cribsie Awards.  Founded in 2010 and hosted by StrollerTraffic.com, the Cribsie Awards recognize the best products, services, and websites for babies and tots.

The Cribsie New Arrival Award honors the best new brands and products of 2013, as judged by the Cribsie Academy, a prestigious panel of industry leaders, experts, and celebrities.  Products in The New Arrival Awards must be rated at least a 4 out of 5 across four criteria: innovation, style/design, marketability, and utility.

“We are honored to have our so-ro recognized as the recipient of this award, said Eric Marlet, International Relations Manager, Babyhome.   “To have our product selected by an esteemed panel of judges comprised of the most influential experts, retail executives and celebrities in the baby and kids industry and from one of the top parenting web sites is especially meaningful.”

Designed by a reputed occupational therapist, the ultra-sleek contemporary Babyhome so-ro cradle rocks front-to-back (as opposed to side-to-side or lateral, like most cradles) providing a rhythmic forward rocking motion which is more soothing for babies.  According to research, this linear motion emulates babies’ movement inside the mother’s womb, as well as the rocking motion in parents’ arms, so babies perceive it as a natural, familiar movement.  so-ro rocks in a gentle and stable manner, with very little effort.

Three levels of elevation at the head of the cradle help to maintain a clear, unobstructed and relaxing environment for baby.  This also promotes healthy breathing and is especially helpful for infants with colds or nasal congestion.

so-ro is also offered in a twin version, the only mini-cradle on the market for twins.  The so-ro twin allows for both babies to sleep next to each other so they can either interact, or be separated with a removable divider.

Extending the philosophy of Babyhome, so-ro is one of the most innovative mini-cradles on the market.  so-ro fits beautifully into a modern home.  This stunning piece of furniture is ideal for parents looking for a suitable design for the bedroom at night and for the living room during the day.  so-ro is the recipient of prestigious international design awards as well including the 2012 German Design Award and 2010 Award for Design Excellence from the Norwegian Design Council.

Safety is at the forefront of so-ro’s design as the cradle can be tipped over only when one end is lifted up.  An adult can stand in the cradle without tipping it over.

The so-ro cradle is made from plywood Baltic birch and is available in either Walnut or White in both the single and the twin version.  Recommended retail: so-ro single $399, so-ro twin, $599.  Suitable from new born to 6 months of age.

so-ro comes complete with mattress and sheet.  An optional 100% natural mattress from Naturalmat is also available (recommended retail $99) along with Naturalmat organic mattress protector ($39.99) and organic sheet ($29.99).

so-ro is available at www.giggle.com and at leading specialty juvenile products stores nationwide.
