Sleepypod’s vision is to create innovative, well designed, and functional products to complement modern, on-the-go lifestyles. Their critically acclaimed products have earned many awards and honors and I was really interested in seeing their innovative product firsthand and include pets in the Everything Home Event as they are a very important part of many families. The Sleepypod Company offers a variety of pet products and pet carriers and I loved their Sleepypod design. It is a two in one carrier, and bed for your dog or cat. The design is really smart and attractive….This is a really well thought out product. The great thing about this adorable and versatile pet carrier is that it allows you to bring your pet’s bed with you on a trip which makes the whole experience a lot easier. Since the little guys will now have something that is familiar to them, it should make the whole travel experience easier for them and for you. I was really impressed with the Sleepypod and was equally impressed with the Sleepypod newest design, the Sleepypod Air and the reasons are many. So let me start with the fact that the carrier shows an amazing quality and outstanding attention to details that can be appreciated as soon as you get the carrier out of the box. The Sleepypod Air features a patent-pending design that allows Sleepypod Air to contract in size to fit in the space below a range of airline seats during the restricted times of takeoff and landing; once the plane is in the air, Sleepypod Air can be expanded to allow a pet the largest possible space below an airline seat(compresses from 22 inches in length to 19 or 16 inches in length)…. And any pet owner will agree with me that this feature is just priceless as it allows you to keep your four legged baby right next to you . To make the Sleepypod Air even more versatile and resourceful, the seatbelt straps on two sides transform Sleepypod Air into a safe car seat, so you do not have to worry about getting a different carrier or that your puppy will not be safe during the trip….No matter if it is by land or air. As an added bonus, the carrier features a removable and machine-washable Ultra Plush bedding that guarantees a comfortable pet bed away from home. As I said before, there are many different features on the carrier that make it a one of a kind including the safe and sturdy mesh panel located on three sides for a better ventilation, removable privacy panel, and top and side entries for easy access. This carrier was meant to make your life easier and your pet’s travels more enjoyable! One of my very favorite features is the trolley pocket that allows you to secure Sleepypod Air onto other luggage giving you an extra free hand that other wise you would have to use to carry around your pet’s carries, so I personally think this one feature is just genius! In addition, the carrier has large zipper pockets on two sides for essential pet items, adjustable shoulder straps with comfort padding, a padded carry handle, and ergonomic zipper pulls are additional features that again will make your and your pet’s travel experience a lot better! While I live in Florida and would probably not need it, the Sleepypod Air has a pocket below Sleepypod Air’s bedding can hold a separately sold electrical Warmer Pad to help keep a pet extra cozy and this would be a great addition to cooler weathers specially if traveling during the Holidays. The carrier is about 16 to 22 (long) x 10.5 (wide) x 10.5 (tall) inches and about 15 to 21 (long) x 9.5 (wide) x 9.5 (tall) inches in the inside…Now one other thing I can’t help but love about the carrier is its capability to folds flat which makes it easy to store when not in use. I must say that the Sleepypod folks really did their homework when putting together the Sleepypod Air. The carrier is available in a variety of colors to meet your needs and has a retail price of 159.99.
