The thing I dread the most about us ladies monthly visitor is certainly the cramps and pain that at least in my case comes with the visit and that quite often leaves me feeling miserable for those days of the month…I am not a really big fan of pain killers, so I usually stoically go through it without taking any kind of medication.
One thing that typically works to alleviate the discomfort is to lay down in bed with a hot compress…That seems to help me get through the whole process. The only problem with that is that since I have a small child, laying down in the middle of the day any day of the week is often an impossible mission.
The answer
Cybele is a nifty solution that will soon be on a Kick Starter campaign and features a pair of nylon / spandex shorts with 4 pockets, one in the front, another one in the back and two of them in the back of the thighs.
These pockets can then hold one of the Cybele medical grade heating packs for quick and very welcome cramp relief during your period. The sample I received, had a regular heating pack, but the brand plans to add a better quality, reusable pack for the final products… Everything is made in the USA and will have a discount for those supporting the Kick Start campaign.
The Cybele shorts for cramp relief are comfortable and very easy to use. And the best part? I can keep on going with my day without interruptions. There is no need to hold the heating pack in place…Just drop it in the pockets and keep going.
The Cybele cramp relief and pain relief for menstrual cycle shorts are designed to also act as a waist trainer which is also nice. This may not be the trendiest piece out there, but certainly functional which is precisely what is needed in something like this that I see as a piece of under garment.
You can easily wear them underneath your clothes (depending on what you are wearing of course), or just wear them as is around the house.
The Cybele cramp relief and pain relief for menstrual cycle shorts reminds me a lot of cycling shorts in the way they fit and the way they look.
The shorts will retail for about $79.00 to $89.00 minus the kick starter initial discount. The heating packs they will use (or similar ones), retail for about $30.00 on Amazon. So, with all that considered, the price for the shorts would be around $30.00, which I think is a fair price for the convenience you are getting.
I am certainly happy to have an option for those miserable days that are drug free, hand free and bed free!

The idea of pockets to hold on heating pads is brilliant – I would love a clothing item like that. What kills THIS product for me though is the waist trainer idea. It looks like it would then have to be a snug, form fitting item. During that time of the month the last thing I want is to wear something constricting or snug.
