We cook a lot from scratch and as a result we end up with a lot of pots and pans besides the usual plates and glasses after each meal so as you can imagine, using a dish soap that will take care of grease and other elements that get stuck to your pots and pans is a must and that’s where Dawn comes into play!
So far, no secret, we all know Dawn does wonders with the greasy messes in the sink, but did you know that Dawn can be used for taking care of those annoying greasy messes in many other places besides the sink?
Actually, I did a little test with a tip from Dawn which said that you can cut the grease from other surfaces, so I dumped some olive oil (you all know how hard it is to clean oil from any surface), I rubbed it on my kitchen floor and after I had a nice messy greasy area, I applied a squirt of Dawn to a cloth under warm running water. I Scrubbed the greasy surface and was amazed on how quickly I was able to get rid of the grease. Once the scrubbing was done, all there was left to do was to take a paper towel and dry the area…voila grease be gone!
My husband tells me he has been using Dawn for years to also clean his cars. He say’s it is one of the only detergents and only liquid soap that can clean the dirt and grime off of a car, and still not damage the paint. Our cars are always clean, so I must say it does a good job.

My worst cleaning kitchen job is cleaning up after frying bacon. It seems to spatter everywhere–on the floor, cupboards and countertop. I love using Dawn as it cuts right through the grease mess I make.
The worst kitchen cleaning job is when something spills over in your clean(ish) oven. I don’t want to have to put on the oven cleaning cycle for the one spill, but the ensuing smoke/smell for the next few baking items is horrible.
My worst and least favorite Kitchen cleaning job is my cleaning my oven but tied with first place is also cleaning greasy frying pans or pots.
Cleaning up dried grits in a pot is always tough!
Thanks for the giveaway…when we have a Sunday Brunch for our extended family we will cook a large tray of bacon (4-5 packs), in the oven, to minimize making a big mess with grease splatter on the stovetop & counter, but cleaning those two large baking trays is a greasy nightmare !

The worst kitchen cleaning job is when food falls or drips from a dish you are cooking in the oven and then burns and leaves stains on the bottom of the oven.

I heated up some milk to make me some Mexican Hot Chocolate. The pot was ruined until I used some Dawn to soak it in.
My worst kitchen cleanup job was after my ex and his teenager daughter moved out. They left the place very filthy… I had many dishes in the sink crusted up with old food, ended up being three sinkfulls worth by the time I was done (I don’t have a dishwasher so I had to do this all by hand). Ugh.

Cleaning the oven is the worse job being on my knees cleaning all those black burnt marks.
Cleaning the refrigerator is the worst job. Food gets spilled in there and then hardens. It is horrible when you have to take out all the shelves and drawers to get to that stuff.

In an effort to carry multiple items to the refrigerator in the morning, I dropped the container of yogurt and it went everywhere – even underneath the refrigerator. It was a long morning of cleaning, which taught me to take the extra trip to the fridge next time.

My worst kitchen disaster is when I was working as a transcriptionist. I put some eggs on to boil and came back to my computer. I was busy in a very long report and forgot that I had the eggs on until I smelled something really terrible. I realized I had forgotten all about my lunch and went into the kitchen only to find that the eggs had exploded all over the stove, the range hood and even on the ceiling. The smell was horrendous! Took me a long time to clean it up!
