With its beginnings back in 1968 Footmates offers fine infant and toddlers shoes with basic and classic patterns to meet today’s parents needs, the brand uses quality leather and materials to deliver a great looking shoe for little ones across the country keeping a great balance between looks, comfort and quality.
Footmates’ specializes in Custom Fit System (CFS) and offers dual-insoles to allow tailored fitting for toddler feet that can often be so tricky to find a good fitting shoe.
I was given the opportunity to try one of their shoes for my little guy and while I loved a lot of the shoes in their catalog, I decided to go with a classic look and opted for the Footmates Todd | Lace-up Toddler Dress Shoes.
Footmates Todd | Lace-up Toddler Dress Shoes
Lightweight and with a roomy toe box, these shoes are great for little ones that like mine would rather have their piggies free of any types of shoes.
As a matter of fact the little guy has proven to be quite difficult when it comes to shoes or socks and would rather take off his shoes as soon as he gets a chance.
These laced up shoes allow me to keep the shoes tight enough so it is more difficult for him to get rid of them and since they are nice and wide in the front, he is still comfortable.
The Todd Lace-up Toddler Dress Shoes by Footmates features a very convenient Custom Fit System with removable, dual insoles in Medium and Wide fitting that are included with the shoes to provide a personalized shoe fitting…I must to say, I really like this feature and wonder why all shoe makers do not do something like this?
The shoes are designed to provide proper arch support for developing feet and can also accommodate customized orthotics and other Pedorthic modifications which I am pretty sure my little guy is going to need at some point.
The shoes are beautifully designed and are made with great craftsmanship and attention to details…As a matter of fact, they remind me of the boots my brother use to wear when he was little and that are hard to find now days.
We are thinking about the baby’s christening and these shoes would be perfect for the occasion!
The shoes are available in 7 different colors, but I fell in love with the clean look of the white pair.
The shoes run a little big and they actually recommend you to order a ½ size down, but since my baby is not quite walking yet and their feet do grow so quick, I did not do that and ordered a full size which was still good for the little guy and that way he can grow in to his shoes.
The Todd design is one of the many options you will find in the Footmates catalog which by the way also includes adorable designs for girls.
So if you are in the market for a pair of comfortable, eye catching pair of shoes for your munchkins, I recommend you to take a peek of what Footmates has to offer

I just love the TSUKIHOSHI Euro little boys shoes they are so cute and colorful. I love the style of the shoes and all the colors they come in you can pick from too. They have such cute dress shoes as well.
They have such cute shoes! I think my favorite shoe is the Harper (in either red or pink) for baby girls. We don’t really have any big Summer plans; my niece & nephews are back in school, so it’s back to the daily grind, lol.
We like the TSUKIHOSHI Maru shoes, so darling.
I really like the Footmates Todd shoes. They are absolutely adorable, and would be so cute on my son. I think he could wear them with a variety of outfits.
I love the Dots Footmates for girls! No plans for the summer for which our little one could wear these. Unless, perhaps, she wears them next summer! But we have no plans for next year yet.
we can definitely use new shoes here. i need to size up for my LOs winter wardrobe. the mojave shoe in mulberry/lavender is so perfect for her. I love those colors and they would be great for all our many fall adventures
I really like the Footmates Todd shoes. They are just so cute and would look great on my little one.
I think I would choose Footmates Cole | Lace-up Toddler Dress Shoes in Stone Oiled.
so many cute shoes for girls and boys! I like the TSUKIHOSHI baby Glitz in purple and mint. That color combination is super cute, but it was hard to choose. Since summer is coming to a quick end here in Maine, I’d get them big for next year so she could enjoy them next summer.
My friend’s son’s birthday is coming up, and I got his sister some shoes on her birthday, so maybe it would be fun to get him some too. (and a toy!) I’d choose the Mojave.
I love all their shoes, they are so nice. I would pick the Conner in grey suede / black. I think they would be good for casual or dress. I love this style, that color really stood out for me. The combination of the two colors is great and would look so good on him.
Danielle is the classic mary jane shoe with a buckle. I would choose the red color because the shoes remind me of Dorothy’s shoes in Wizard of Oz.
I think the Cole shoe for my son would be great. I like the classy style and they look really well made. If I had a daughter I’d definitely choose Cheer, such a classic look!
I like the Connor in grey suede black. These would be perfect for fall pictures and holiday gatherings with family. My little guy doesn’t have anything like these yet. I really like the classic look and think they would be perfect with dress shoes and even jeans.
These are just adorable! It was difficult to decide between the mary janes or a pair of flats, but in the end I chose flats! The silver Lynn style would be my choice.
My son is starting to walk. The Todd design in black would be great for him as we move into fall. He will need comfortable and supportive shoes that he can’t easily take off. These would be perfect!
I love the Harper shoe!
I love the Harper shoe! It is just a good shoe to wear for all occasions! My cousin is getting married this fall so it would be perfect to wear for that!
I would love to get the Mojave for my granddaughter. She loves shoes and is moving to Germany in January. It would be nice to give her a new pair of boots.
I might choose the Becky style for my niece. She would love the silver ones. They would look great with all her fall fashions and even with her dress-up clothes when she pretends to be a princess.
I would pick the Mojave pink shoes. They would be super cute on my niece. I would take some cute pictures.
I’d have to go with the pink Danielle style. They’re all cute; unfortunately, old-fashioned lace-up or buckle shoes are banned at my daughter’s preschool. They like the kids to have Velcro-closure shoes so that they can put them on and take them off by themselves and I can’t say I disagree with the policy, but I do love the nostalgic kid’s shoes on the Footmates site.
I’m most interested in the TSUKIHOSHI Youth Frost! While you asked if there were any summer activities I could see my little one doing in these, I find it far more likely that we will be doing things in the snow around here VERY soon! The best part is that they are waterproof!
I think my granddaughter would love to have the Footmates Shelby in Robin egg blue because she loves that color. These are adorable!
They really have some nice shoes, If I won I would choose the Footmates Willy in white for our grandson. We are trying to get custody of him and right now most of our money has gone to attorney fees. He has been with us with emergency custody order for almost 3 months now and we enjoy him so much especially watching him grow. I would also like to say that I was impressed with these shoes because they are not velcro they are shoestring ties, you don’t see that very often anymore, thanks for a great giveaway.
I like the Footmates Mojave
I would choose the footmates conner. they are super cute for our son.
My newly born Princess would look so pretty in your Shelby shoes, they would compliment her Christmas outfit so wonderfully. It is hard to find the perfect shoes for an infant, but searching your site I have found no problem finding many options.
They have lots of cute styles!! I love the Wally style for my son. My hubby has a similar pair and they would look so cute with matching shoes!
My daughter would love the Mojave pink shoes. They look cute and comfy. She would get the most use out of them while walking around downtown Chicago. She loves the museums and the water.
I love the tsukikhoshi glitz shoes for my baby girl. I love purple! She could wear these on vacation
I love the FOOTMATES Lydia in red. My oldest daughter has the perfect dress that would go with this. It would look adorable going to church in.
I like Todd. I also like Willy. Black would be the color of choice.
My younger son always wants “red” shoes. He would probably choose something like the Child Dash style with the main color red and black accents. I’m not sure about the laces though- he’s four and likes to dress himself, so tying shoes can sometimes be a frustration for us both.
My daughter will be walking soon, so we need them for when she is outside! No crazy summer plans! It has started getting colder here now as well. No more sandals.
I like the Danielle style in the brown color. They would look so cute on my daughter! She really needs a pair of dress shoes.
I would love to have a pair of the Mojave. My son would wear those when we dress up for family functions or for church. They are super cute and look very durable!
I love the large number of shoes they have. I really liked the boys Mojave 9130-201-T5.0-M/W. They are stylish and less likely to show dirt. These would be good when we go on vacation
I like the Pipit Jack. They look sturdy but comfortable. I plan to take my child to see the Grand Canyon.
I would choose the Footmates Harper. The red color is so pretty. These would be great for my granddaughter to wear for an upcoming wedding they are attending.
We like the Tsukihoshi Neko. They would be great for school. My kids also like the color choices.
My grand daughter would look so cute in the footmate cheers in pink.
I would love to have the Mojaves for my daughter. I live in Wisconsin and with winter coming, they could be great!
I like the Tsukihoshi Ninja shoes for my son. These would be perfect for wearing around the house.
I would love to have the https://www.badorfkids.com/girls-shoes-and-sandals/38-footmates-fleur-toddler-youth-shoe.html#/color-white_and_pink_patent
I really like the girls Lynne shoes in silver. They look really cute and comfortable. I think my daughter would like them.
love harper would be nice for my daughter to wear for several events we have planned thank you !
I would order the Wally boots for my grandson Carter. He is really active and those feet keep growing! I think he would get a lot of use out of these. His best friend has a pair of similar boots and Carter has been asking for some!
I would choose the Shelby shoes in white. I don’t have any summer plans yet. Thanks for the great giveaway!
