The new school year will start sooner than you think and parents like yours truly are trying to figure out the kids wardrobe for summer and school at the same time…I do not know how your kids are, but my little lady is really tough on clothes and shoes, so I need to make sure her shoes are good quality, so that they can last at least a few months…I don’t know how your kids are but mine are pretty tough on shoes.
Tsukihoshi from Japan with Love
While the name might be new to you ( it is for me), the company’s history began over 140 years ago in Japan with the original creators of the brand: Unpei and moto and while in the beginning, the brand was focused on the making of Tabi Shoes ( traditional Japanese shoe like socks), they introduced shoes and since then the company has developed a wide Kid’s shoe catalog.
I love new shoes
I love shoes and I am always looking for new brands to try, not just for me, but for the kids also and was really interested to see and try these shoes.
Tsukihoshi Tsuk Dash
The very first thing that caught my eye was the colors. The tennis shoes are available in a variety of colors (my daughter picked the Teal/Fuchsia color combination and I have to say she made a great choice) we love the colors on the shoes and they would be great for the last few weeks of summer and outdoors activities and of course the new school year.
There are many features I really like about these shoes like their antibacterial Insole which are infused with natural Green Tea extract (no chemicals) to kill odor causing germs which is very welcome, especially here in Florida and even more so in the summer time!
The shoes are washable
I love the fact that the shoes can be washed in your washer (a big plus for our house hold).
One of my main issues with my daughter is the width of the shoes…She likes (in her own words), to wiggle her toes and the wide Tsukihoshi Tsuk Dash, allows her to do just that!
The shoes run a little on the big side…and the brand even recommends to go ½ size smaller when ordering.
Lace up
The shoes are lace up for better adjustability, and also provide you with arch support. They have a Heel Stabilizer (long heel counter for optimum stability), and breathable fabric lining and cushioned foot-bed for added comfort and Non-marking outsole that makes these shoes a great option for kids this school year.
The Tsukihoshi Tsuk Dash is available in selected retailers with a $64.95 price tag.

I’d pick the Neko shoes in red. My son could use a new pair of shoes for daycare and playing outside. He gets so dirty and grows so fast it seems that he always needs new shoes and clothes! We also have a camping trip planned where a new pair of shoes for running around outside would be wonderful.
My youngest nephew would really like these. I’m torn between the Velocity & the Ibiza; both are pretty great looking. He plays a lot on his scooter & little motorbike & uses his feet to stop himself, so he needs good, strong shoes!
i might get the rainbow shoes for my daughter . she would love the lavender and coral to run around the play ground in. we are doing a lot of traveling this summer and having dependable , comfortable shoes is a must. she loves to run and I know this brand will hold up to all her adventures
I love the Youth Storm shoes. My son goes through shoes like crazy. He’s very active and he would use these to ride his bike.
Oh they have such cute shoes for boys! I really love the MAKO boys shoes. They look so comfortable for him to run and play! Would be great back to school shoes!
I think we would like the Badorf Kids (though I haven’t quite figured out the sizing.
**not an entry – a note!** Picket Fence site is down; this is the third consecutive day, so you aren’t getting your votes!
Whenever this happens it always takes a week or longer for them to fix it. Ordinary people (non-bloggers) can’t communicate with them to tell them. They abandoned their twitter feed years ago and there is no place else. It happens all of the time. I do at least 35 picket fence votes a day (maybe more), not just as contest entries. I pretty much click on it every time I see it because it seems to matter a lot to some bloggers. That’s a LOT of missed votes over what is now days. it seems like they just don’t care.
In case they ask, it’s not my computer, cache is clean etc. tried on 3 different devices – it’s them. Use the site https://www (dot) downforeveryoneorjustme (dot) com – get this result: It’s not just you! https://picketfenceblogs.com looks down from here.
Most people just wouldn’t bother to tell you.
Thanks for letting me know Margot, I will take a look:)
I’d pick the SPORT shoes in red. These shoes would be great for my son to wear to daycare and to a mini summer camp he goes to. I love the velcro to make for easy on-off.
I would pick the Tsukihoshi Youth Storm shoes. No special plans for the kids this summer.
I like the glamour shoes. I think they would be perfect for my Granddaughter and her very active little feet.
I love the Glamour shoes in silver for my toddler daughter. These look perfect for daily wear, and I can see them being especially helpful for trips to the park. My daughter gets tons of sand in her shoes at parks and it just doesn’t come all the way out unless the shoes are washed. Also, the outer shoe gets dingy from the sand. I love that I can just clean them so easily!
We would definitely pick the Youth Rainbow! Super Cute and pretty colors for a girl! My granddaughter would love these!
I LIKE THE Storm sneakers in navy/silver 🙂 No plans to wear the shoes anywhere this summer, I would probably save them for back to school.
I’d probably go for soho, because gimps with hand issues need velcro. Someone else is gonna have to teach my kid to tie his shoes. He’d probably choose pink, blue, or a combination of those. Do these really have no chemicals at all?
I too love new shoes! I’d probably choose Storm in Graphite/Royal. They look great and I think the velcro would work well for my son.
I would love to choose the Euro in Gray/Navy. Our little guy would love the colors. He could definitely use them while running around the playground this summer.
I like the Bolt….he’s wear them when we go camping.
My son is really bad about wearing holes in his shoes. We are always having to buy him a new pair, so these would be great for him! I would choose the Child Bolt shoes for him.
I would pick the Child Euro shoes for my son, in blue. Great to play at the park!!!
I would choose the Sport style for my son who recently started walking. They look very sturdy and like they would offer good support. I also like the colors they come in. The green is very cute!
I like the laguna in purple/mint! We are going to hawaii and these would be perfect to romp around in 🙂 THank you!
My daughter will start kindergarten in a few weeks. Finding she’s that she finds comfortable is a struggle. I would love to try the Glamour sTyle in lavender/mint. We camp a lot and any shoes I can wash would be great. I also love the antibacterial properties- she’s not a fan of wearing socks.
My daughter loves the Euro shoes the best in the pink color. The shoes would be great for school and for playing outside.
I would love to get my son the Youth Storm shoes in graphite/royal. I like the fact that they are youth shoes, but they also offer velcro at the top for ease. He will definitely need new shoes for the upcoming school season.
Thanks for the chance to win!

my little niece would love the euro shoes in pink she loves pink and would love these shoes for sure. thankyou, ken
I would go with the Glitz in the pink, blue, and white. These would be great for my granddaughter as she hates having her toes squeezed up in shoes. In addition the colors are great because they will go with so many different things.
I would choose the Youth Dash in the color black/red. I think my grandson would like those shoes. He needs a new pair of shoes to start school. Actually he is always in need of new shoes and usually more than one pair. He loves to play outside and jump in any rain or mud puddles he can find. As a result he enters the house with wet and dirty shoes, which we have to clean up. Then if we want to go somewhere, his shoes are wet and we need to rely on a backup pair of shoes for him to wear. One of the nice things about the Tsukihoshi shoes is that they are washable.
I like Glitz in Fuscsia/Blue. This is great for my sister’s former co-worker’s daughter who’s growing so fast and this will help last longer. The colors are awesome and could match anything she wears.
such great choices! they look so sturdy too. i’d love a pair of the childs ibiza or marina!
I like Wheel in Royal Steel! I would let my son pick though. He is at the end of his current shoe and will need new soon. We have a trip planned to visit family and he would love to wear them then!
There are lots of nice styles to choose from. I think the Glamour 1509-48-T7.0 would be a good style for both my nieces. It looks practical and stylish too.
I would pick the Youth Storm shoes. My daughter would probably like the red/gray or the black/green colors. They do look well made. Nothing worse than buying shoes for back to school and have them fall apart by Christmas. I’d like to see how these could stand up to the test of my daughter playing in them!
I like the baby Glitz in purple and royal. My granddaughter could use these when we go camping. They look like they’re well made and would be comfortable hiking.
My grandson is the one who needs new shoes. If have to pick for him, I’ll choose Velocity. He really doesn’t like shoes with bright colors.
My daughter would love the Youth Rainbow shoes! She’s heading to her grandma’s for a week and I’m sure she could use these shoes on all their adventures.
