Pressure washing, on the other hand, does not use heat and is more for the day to day tasks. Washing the car, cleaning windows and washing off the outside stairs.
Both work great for the job; just check which job you are taking on. You don’t want to be standing trying to de-stain a concrete floor with a pressure washer and having no luck.

How Often to Use?
For a full exterior house wash, a good idea would be to give it a scrub after each season. This will also protect it to some extent for the upcoming season. Of course, if you live near a dirt road or mountainside, it could be a quick spray between months just to stop the house looking a bit grubby.
