I received a Honeywell Cool Moisture Humidifier to facilitate this review. I was not financially compensated for this post. My opinions are my own and not by any means influenced by any other part.
I always knew the effects that low humidity levels in the home can have on your body (chapped lips, scratchy throat), and so on, but I never stopped to think that the same way we get affected, our home gets affected… Actually, the designers of Honeywell Humidifiers and Dr. Ted Myatt, an indoor air scientist, have released new research on the 10 household items most impacted by relative humidity, and you will be surprised of the items on this list!
I personally have a hard time during the winter even though it usually does not get as cold here, but some times like this year the temperature would actually drop as low as 40 degrees and while it might not sound bad for some people living up norths, it is really cold for those whom are not used to those temperatures. My skin gets really dry and patchy and I get nose bleeds because my nose dries up….Not pretty, not comfortable, so I like to have a humidifier to help me fight the dryness in the air.
Honeywell Cool Moisture Humidifier
Lightweight and compact, the Honeywell Cool Moisture Humidifier is a great tool to help you fight the dry air with very quiet operation. You would hardly notice the unit is on which is perfect because I have a baby in the room and do not need anything to disturb him which is not the case with this unit.
The design is pretty compact and modern so it can be easily incorporated to the room without being an eyesore or looking out of place.
User friendly
The unit is very user friendly which is always a welcome feature. The Honeywell Cool Moisture Humidifier has 2 speed settings to adjust moisture output and sound level in the humidifier and can be controlled with a big button on the front of the humidifier.
The unit has a .8 gallon tank capacity which allows you to run the humidifier for 2 -3 nights before you need to refill the tank. The tank has a large opening so it is easy to fill and clean.
The unit operates with a wicking filter which is included with the unit and which you will need to replace every 5-6 weeks. There is nothing to indicate that you need to change the filter, so I would recommend you to check the filter every 4-5 weeks.(They do recommend to use filtered water in order to improve the filter life).
Overall, this is a nice unit for the price that does what it is intended to do and a good addition to your home.
The Honeywell Cool Moisture Humidifier is available in either white or black and has a retail price of $44.99.
