A new season of the hit show MasterChef Junior will premiere on FOX today Tuesday, Nov 4 at 8/7c and to celebrate I bring you a really fun review/ giveaway to challenge you and the young chefs at home to let their inner master chef out and create some exciting recipes and mixes of their own.
Let’s get popping … for this review I received a really fun and exciting DIY Popcorn Kit box containing:
• (1) Lit Card
• (5) Recipe Cards
• (1) Paper Chef Hat
• (1) Set of Measuring Spoons
• (4) Junior Spices
• Individually labeled containers
• Exact spices contingent upon final recipes
• (2) DIY Seasoning Jars
• (1) Popcorn Mason Jar
• (6) MCJ Popcorn Boxes , each box is branded with custom stickers
So basically you have all you need for a night of popping fun and experimenting as you have the ability to create and save your own spice mix creation…I must say that I had no idea how much fun this could be and how much the little lady could like the idea of making her own personalized popcorn.
This opens a whole new world of future possibilities in the kitchen for us and experimentation with the little one in the cooking world which is amazing.
The DIY Popcorn Kit box is very complete and put together very well, so while this is meant for the younger cooks in your home, your kids will not feel that this is a toy which gives the whole experience a grownup and special touch that both kids and grownups will enjoy.
So do not forget to tune in for the premier of a very exciting MasterChef Junior season and enjoy the show with the kids and start inspiring them to learn more about the kitchen and cooking!

My daughter isn’t old enough to help me cook yet. I do believe that kids can be introduced and familiarized with the kitchen pretty much as soon as they can walk! Right now my daughter “helps” me by bringing me things from the pantry and putting them back if I ask her.
I think kids should be introduced to simple kitchen tasks at around age 3. I love to cook with my kids. It is a great learning experience for them. Cooking together is fun for the whole family.
I do love to cook with the kids. I have let the kids bake with me since they are small. My younger son has been wanting to learn how to cook different meals. He is 13 and I allow him to help me at the stove.
I sometimes have to force my daughter to cook with me. She is not a fan of cooking, but will help me once in a while. It’s strange because I adore cooking and trying new recipes, while she says she finds it tedious.
I cook with my daughter sometimes. I think kids should be introduced as early as possible. They don’t need to use a stove to help with mixing or adding ingredients.
Yes, I cook with the kids. I think it’s a great way to spend time together. I can remember having them help me in the kitchen as young as 2 — to make something on their own I think they need to be much older, but helping can start very young.
I cook with my girls. We love baking together and prepping freezer meals together as well. We started working in the kitchen together when they were 6 & 8. Now they are 10 &12 and can cook things on their own which is great!
I cook with my kids all the time! I think kids should be introduced to the kitchen at the earliest possible age; even toddlers can help with simple tasks, and, in my experience, they are happy to feel useful! It’s especially great if you involve your kids in gardening; if they participate in the planting and growing of vegetables, herbs, etc., they’re more likely to be open to eating the foods they’ve helped to grow, and they’re more likely to be interested in learning how to cook them!
All 3 of my children cook with me, including my son who just turned 3. I love having them help and learn at the same time. I like to take the opportunity to throw in math like fractions and adding.
I love cooking with my kids! And my kids love creating something delicious in the kitchen. I think I started them helping out as soon as they were old enough to not put everything in their mouth. Probably 2-3ish.
