Hi everyone, this is my post for my Nutrisystem blogger program week number 8. Week 8 has been particularly difficult as I currently have 2 family members in the hospital and had to spend a few days in and out of a hospital room. Making matters worse, I had to travel outside the country to go to my grandmother’s funeral in the Dominican Republic. Needless to say, having access to the correct types of food has been pretty limited.

I must say, being able to bring some of my Nutrisystem foods with me has been wonderful! I brought along foods that do not need to be cooked, or heated, for breakfast and for snacks. This has been really important in times when I REALLY needed these foods and not having access to them in the Dominican Republic.

As you can probably imagine, upon hearing of my grandmother’s passing, I did not have much time to prepare for my trip. I am so glad I was able to grab some of my breakfast and snacks in order to stay on my dietary track!

Even though I’ve had to include other foods, I am really glad I brought some Nutrisystem choices with me. Nutrisystem has allowed me to stay on their program while going back and forth from the hospital and as a breakfast on the airplane.

Hopefully I will be back home in a couple of days, and everybody will be out of the hospital and doing better…Fingers crossed!
