I received a kid’s sewing machine to facilitate this review. I was not financially compensated for this post. My opinions are my own and not by any means influenced by any other part.

Do you do your holiday shopping online or do you go to the physical store in order to get what you need? I have always liked the convenience of the online shopping experience and actually 80 to 90% of the things we buy for our home are purchased online… and Yes, the husband is also an online shopper. And the reasons are obvious, you avoid the crowds, and it is usually a lot easier to find what you are looking for. You also have instant access to online reviews (which is very handy and convenient).

Having a positive shopping experience has a lot to do with the stores that you choose to buy from. I for instance, like stores in which you can find different brands and items as it makes shopping for different family members a lot easier and hassle free.

Overstock.com
Overstock is one of those must visit online retailers and with over 1,000,000 products in their catalog, you can basically find anything you can think of and have it delivered to your front door in no time.

The Overstock website is very easy to navigate and of course they have specific sections like you would find in a department store that you can access to “browse and see” what is available in case that you do not know exactly what you are shopping for and want some gift ideas. You can also use the search tool in the occasion in which you know exactly what you are looking for.

Another advantage to Overstock.com is that shipping is free on orders over $50.00 (I can’t stand shipping charges in some stores where they want to charge you more for shipping than what you are actually spending on your purchase.

Shop for everybody on your list from the comfort of your home
At Overstock you can find the gifts for all the friends and family in your holiday gift list and the best part is that you will not have to fight crowds or inclement weather and have access to great sales and discount.

What did I find in Overstock?
I found many things, but there was one item that I was looking for specifically. My daughter is showing an interest for fashion and wants to make her dolls their own clothes which is awesome, so I thought a little  kid’s sewing machine would be a great gift for her.

Janome Fast Lane Fuchsia 1/2-size Portable Kid’s Sewing Machine
The Janome Fast Lane Fuchsia 1/2-size Portable Kid’s Sewing Machine can be found at Overstock for $69.99 and it is a nice learning sewing machine for young kids.

These kid’s sewing machines which are available in a selection of vibrant colors, features a stitch selection dial with 10 different stitches, 3 stitch widths, and 5 stitch lengths for your kids to work with. It also has (and this was big thing for me) a foot pedal that allows the kids to maintain one speed which is safer for them. It also has a big pressers foot for finger safety, again a plus for me as my daughter has never used a sewing machine and the purpose of this little machine is for her to learn.

These kid’s sewing machines are light weight and compact so you can set it up anywhere you need to and your kid’s can easily move it from one location to another so it can easily be put away when not in use.

The Janome Fast Lane Fuchsia 1/2-size Portable Sewing Machine comes with an AC adapter to power the unit, so it is stronger than a battery operated machine. It also have a little drawer for bobbins for the kid’s convenience. Over all, a cute good first learning machine for young kids!
