Let’s face it; the happiest time of the year can be very stressing… Family and friends gathering, cooking, shopping…
This is the time of the year that I want to make sure to reconnect with friends and family that I might have not kept in touch with throughout the year.
I usually send Christmas cards with the kids and small presents. Some of them would be even traveling internationally. I also send my husband’s clients Christmas cards, so yes, the happiest time of the year can get really busy.
I have a method
What I have figured out throughout the years that works best for me and help me to avoid all the rushing and craziness, is to set up a little holiday desk station.
Stamp it
Because time is precious and I hate writing my address repeatedly, I usually get a cute return address stamp of which I have two.
One of the return addresses Stamp has a holiday theme and the second one does both, so I can use it year-round.
The great thing about these cute little stamps like the ones you find Mabel’s labels is that you can design yourself.
They are also very compact, which means no fuzz about storing them, and then there is the ease of use.
Label it
You can also choose cute return address labels or even wraparound labels for the holidays.
I also keep all my present wrapping materials in the same spot so I can get to work and start wrapping presents as easy and hassle-free as possible… Tape, scissors, wrapping paper, and gift tags are kept all together.
One thing I was doing for the last couple of years in benefit of my 4 years old, who doesn’t know how to read but gets excited about presents is to use the same wrapping paper for all his gifts. Since he does know how to read his name, I get gift tags for him that are different from the rest of the family.
Gift tags
In fact, I like to get a different set of tags for various family members and use their gift tags for any presents they need to send (mainly my daughter who has a way better and busier social life than any of us)!
Also great for teachers and aftercare staff!
I have found this little method to be very productive and allows me to quickly go to the corresponding and wrapping process without much of a fuzz!
