I am gearing up for summer and have a couple of trips planned for the summer. One of them is the BlogHer convention up in Orlando and I am very excited to go. I want to make sure I have the proper gear on hand for the trip and one of the very first things I needed to make sure I had was a nice and easy bag to carry my computer around…
Solo Bags
Designed in New York and featuring one of the fastest growing urban lifestyle bags and cases. Solo offers stylish, modern designs for today’s people that are not willing to compromise on style or comfort and I was really excited to try one of their women’s bags.
EXECUTIVE 16″ LEATHER BUCKET TOTE (VTA802) Lightweight, comfortable and stylish
This handy women computer bag has all the bells and whistles a woman on the go will need for their computer.
Featuring a dark full- grain body, the Solo bag executive bag offers a fully padded 16 “ laptop compartment to keep your laptop protected while on the go.
This woman’s computer bag was designed with an open top with a snap close strap for easy access that allows you to get a hold of your computer without any hassles. There are several pockets located in the inside and outside of the computer bag to keep all your belongings secured and organized including a large front zippered organizing pocket with a couple of smaller slide in pockets that are perfect for travel documents, keys, business cards and small devices like cell phones.
There is another slide in pocket on the back of the bag that is big enough for an 8” tablet that can also be used to hold documents… I think it would work great for when you are going through airport security or customs, but the best part about this pocket, is that it has a zipper at the bottom that allows you to unzip to get it through the handle of your carry on,( I love this feature).
In the inside of the bag, you will find the computer compartment with a Velcro closure along with a zippered pocket on the opposite side and two extra medium sized pockets and two convenient small pen pockets that allows you to place a pen on each of them.
This tote style women’s computer bag is lined with a contrasting blue lining that looks really nice against the dark brown leather of the bag.
The computer bag has metal protected feet so it is not directly on the ground when you place it down, not only a great thing for avoiding germs, but also to protect your bag.
The handle is really comfortable and the slim design on the bag sits very comfortably against the body.
One of my concerns when buying leather computer bags or any bags for that matter, is that they tend to show scratches very easily, but that is not the case with this bag which is great as your woman’s computer bag will look great for a longer period of time.
The Solo Executive leather bucket tote is not only very comfortable and handy, it is also very trendy and has the brand’s added brass toned hardware to complete the look.
These women’s computer bags would make a wonderful mother’s day present for the working, or the on the go mom looking for a nice bag that can pass and double as a regular handbag.
The Solo executive women’s computer bag has a retail price of $139.99, and has a 5 year warranty.

I’m impressed with their briefcases, especially the Sag Harbor style. But I think my favorite is one of their totes: the Vestry Bucket Tote. I love the camel color & the leopard print lining. The most important thing in a computer bag, to me, is that it be padded enough to protect the laptop/tablet when I drop or hit the bag…because I will!
I really love these bags. They are really nice. The ability to attach to the suitcase handle has got to be the coolest feature I’ve ever seen. That is so handy. I also like their Weekender Backpack Duffel (ACV731). Such a cool bag.
In addition to this one, I also like the Roam Backpack (UBN730). Love the gray neutral plaid design. And it has room for a tablet and laptop!
I love the Executive tote! I would also love tthe MONTAUK DUFFEL (EXE640). What a great overnighter pair. I like a leather tote that holds my computer securely.
What beautiful bags! I also love the Empire Briefcase. It not only is stylish, and classic lines, it is very roomy and functional. I’d be a lot more organized, that’s for sure!.
Lovely collection of bags, I really like the Urban 15.6″ Rolling Overnighter Case. When I’m looking for a computer bag I look for padding, accessibility, and security. I also love wheeled bags for portability – easier to drag around airports than actually having to carry one.
What I look for in a messenger or laptop tote is design and durability. Therefore I would choose the HUDSON LEATHER MESSENGER.
There are some really nice bags on their site — and great prices! Great styles too, and a lot to choose from. I would alos like to have the Harrison Triple Compartment Briefcase (CLS346).
I like the Urban Rolling Overnight bag. For a computer bag, I like one that is leather and on wheels. I like for it to have separate pockets for paperwork and accessories.
I also like the Bridgehampton Ladies Backpack. It’s stylish and has ample room to carry a lot of things. What I look for in a computer bag are lots of pockets to hold other necessities such as charger and computer mouse; cell phone, and wallet. I also like it to have some padding to protect a laptop. I like a computer bag that also functions as a handbag so I don’t have to carry a purse.
Those are some nice looking bags! I also really like the look of the Waldorf Tote. It’s important to me that a computer bag has a well padded compartment that protects against bumps, drops, and tumbles. And that they’re attractive to boot!
I’m loving the Sullivan Briefcase Messenger bag for my husband!`
Love all the bags and would like a samsung tablet case.
I love a good messenger bag! I think the COVERT MESSENGER has it all. not too big but big enough to carry all extras from laptop, to papers, to everyday needs. I look for hands free ease no doubt
I really like the Vestry Bucket Tote bag.
When shopping for a computer bag, I look for space, storage and quality of the bag. I have an iPad Pro so having enough space to fit my iPad Pro in a bag, plus the quality are my top 2 choices. I like the Sentinel Slim Case for iPad Pro.
Finally! A laptop bag that doesn’t look like it’s made for a college student. Love the style of the bag you’ve reviewed. I’ve been looking for a backpack and I really like the POP BACKPACK (ACV764). It’s sold out right now 🙁
I really love the Crosby backpack. That’s something I can use on my bike when going to the store. The main thing that I tend to look for in any type of bag that I bought of course is the quality of the merchandise the stitching and how well the bag is going to hold up over time
I really like the IMPULSE DUFFEL. It seems like a perfect weekend bag. Just roomy enough to hold what you’d need.

I like the Active 16″ Rolling Overnighter Case. There are many nice features. Not only can you store your clothes in it, but there is a compartment for your laptop. Also nice is the padded handle. When I look for a computer bag size is important. It must be large enough for my computer as well as not too large and bulky to carry. I have heard some are waterproof and if si, that would be a nice feature. It is also nice if there are other compartments to keep other items. The most important is that the price I pay is fair.
I like the Waldorf Tote. I look for a bag that is spacious and has a lot of compartments. I also like a lightweight bag. I like a nice strap to put the bag on my shoulder.

As a teacher, I would really love to have this to keep things organized. I love the things you offer on your blog. They are so cool. My students always say I need a new bag, haha!
I would like to own the “Bridgehampton Ladies Backpack” – it looks like it would be super comfy to wear on my back. When I am looking for a computer bag, I look for something that has additional room for files/ books. Also, it needs to have a cushy strap and be easy to carry – just because I am on foot so much. Thanks!
This computer bag is great! I love how fashionable it is. I often bring my laptop to class to take notes, but don’t always want to bring a backpack so this would be the perfect alternative. It’s really important to me that there is sufficient padding since I tend to be a bit clumsy with my bags. The other bag I really liked was the work to play backpack. It’s such a unique idea!
I really love the HUDSON LEATHER MESSENGER the padding to protect laptop is really a great idea . That is what i look for in a computer bag is protection for my devices, against dropping or banging up against things.

I look for a confident and sassy bag with lots of style. However, I require that it be fully functional and super easy to use. Also, it should have lots of room for more things!

For computer bags, I look for lots of storage. I also look for sturdy handles.
I would like to try the Bridgehampton Ladies Backpack. I think I carry to much junk in my purse and as I get older my shoulders are starting to hurt if I am walking a lot. I have tried to put less stuff in my purse but it always end up being a catch all for my family’s things when we are somewhere.
I like the “PREMIERE LEATHER UNIVERSAL TABLET PADFOLIO (VTA138)” for our iPad mini.
I like the hybrid briefcase. I would be great for traveling to have a bag that converts to a backpack. It is so much easire to deal with a backpack in addition to you carry on case.

I like a bag that is classy but also doesn’t show too much wear and tear (scratches, etc.)
I have been using the same tote for awhile but would love to have the plaza tote and a new tablet case.
I like the executive ultrabook tote. It looks both stylish and functional, and like it will last me a long time. I don’t own a laptop case, but I think it would be important to have one with a lot of cushioning so that it is durable.
I like the Reade Leather Backpack as well. It has the durability of leather, durability being an important part of any daily-use product. I find the leather to be kind of stylish too, with a sort of more business-like look compared to most backpack materials. Also, useful pockets and protection for a laptop and gadgets is important.

Urban 15.6″ Rolling Overnighter Case. I travel for business a lot so the most important thing would be that it’s durable. The size is important too, depending if it’s only overnight or a week long trip.

The Duane Hybrid Briefcase is nice. I think my kids would like those.
Lexington Backpack is suitably ideal for that to which would be another item I’d consider. Maybe there’s a few things I look for in a computer bag in particular: while a few are understood the others arent as clear… Being light and stylish for example can be challenging, especially when you have several things to carry besides your computer (to which must have a soft area so it doesnt get damaged. Your essentials to which often are limited due to space can often be brought with you in that of pockets or (fewer) supply numbers. Thus having the right accessories when you travel to an appointment, college or interview such as a briefcase or laptop bag is key to making a better first impression.
I absolutely love the Bridgehampton Ladies Backpack. It looks small and stylish and yet still functional. I am in the market for something and this is exactly what i’ve pictured.
I look first for quality. I also need endurance and integrity. I need a bag to protect the computer form all of the elements.
I like the looks of the Sag Harbor Briefcase. It will hold a computer and it has many other pockets for all the other accessories I tend to carry such as writing tablets, pens, an other things.
