How many times have you found yourself with the predicament of needing your car washed and having no time to stop by the car wash? I know it might sound silly, but the reality is that small tasks like taking your car in to a car wash can be challenging when you have time constrains….Work , kids….A lot of things that can go on in a regular day that make your time just disappear and while you had all the intentions to not let another day go by without taking your car to the car wash, you get a reality check when you realize it is already night time and again your car is still not clean…

A few weeks ago I was invited to try Washé

What is Washé?

They are a network of high quality mobile detailers and rinseless car washers available on-demand via their mobile app…

The app is free of course and very easy to use as all you need to do, is open the Washé app once installed. When you open the app and enter your credit card details, you will see a screen with a google map showing where you are at that moment (you need to have the GPS turned on in your phone), as this is how they will locate you. You can, however, edit the address you want the service done at. Such as if for example you are washing a different car or want to change the location where the service is going to be needed.

I think of this as rather like Uber for car washing and detailing.

We decided to wash the husband’s toy car (it is a real car, but it is his toy)! I requested the service from home and edited the address as our condo rules do not allow us to do something like this on the property.
In the first window with the map, you will see the different car wash options:

Silver – $20.00 – Exterior only

Gold – $30.00 – Interior + Exterior

Platinum – $60.00 – Interior + Exterior + Wax

Diamond – $120.00 – Full Detail + Clay Bar + Wax

You select the service you want, and then a (Wash me now) window will show right next to the car icon. You also have the option to request a different time, add an availability window and even request a favorite washer from those that have used the service before.

Once you have selected the time, the address and type of car wash service you want, the app will show you the ETA for your washer and start a countdown watch showing you the progress of your washer until he actually gets to you.
I was given a 1 for my ATA and at exactly 1 hour later a truck with three young men arrived to the location…Their pickup truck was equipped with everything they needed to get the job done and that includes the water!

I received a complementary Diamond – $120.00 – Full Detail + Clay Bar + Wax service which took them about 1 hour to complete.

They all worked on the car and I have to say they were really paying attention to all the details and making sure everything was great, both inside and out. I watched the whole process (they did not know I was doing a review), and I asked questions along the way and they were very patient with me.

One of my questions, was about the clay bar (the husband was very excited to have this done on his car). They do not use an actual clay bar, but a pad that has the clay integrated as they explained, clay bars are very expensive and fragile, but they assured me the pad would do the same job as a clay bar.

The app is really easy to use and the service was really good…Things you should know?

If for whatever reason you need to cancel your car wash, make sure you cancel it on the app, don’t just call the person who is doing the car wash. You can also leave a tip through the app.

Once the washer is done with the service, they send a notice to the app which would notify you that the car is done.

What if I am working?

They can come to your place of work and communicate with you when you get there and also when they are done!
