My Nutrisystem Weight Loss Journey Week 2!
I started my Nutrisystem diet April 4th and by now, I have completed the Turbo Takeoff and if I have to be honest, it was not nearly as hard as I had expected it to be. Actually the shakes made the whole process very easy and doable and now that I am on the second week, I have had a bit more trouble controlling my cravings. So, I contacted my Nutisystem counselor and she kindly reminded me that I need to do my power fuels which are high quality proteins that contain essential amino acids and that are digested slower by the body, so you can stay satisfied longer.
She also pointed out that I needed to make sure to take my veggies…See this is different than when I did the program the first time. This time around, not only do they have a different packaging and menu, they have included what they call flex meals allowing you to make your own dinner and lunch once a week which is great if you ask me as you can get a few of your favorites, in moderation of course, while still on the program even though the Nutrisystem menu, is really good.
I am still just working out twice a week for a half hour, and I have started to see some results. Yes, that is right, I have lost a couple of pounds. Actually, I am going back and forth between 2 and 4 pounds which is very encouraging as I have basically just started the program.
The best part? I feel lighter and my clothes fit a lot better, so much so, that I have actually dared to wear tighter clothes.
An app to keep you on track
One other thing I absolutely love about the Nutrisystem program is the NuMi app which allows me to log all my food intake very easily. You can scan the bar codes of nutrisystem foods and non Nutrisystem food, so you can quickly keep track of what you are eating without any hassle and in a matter of seconds.
NuMi also records activity and recommends what kind of activities to do in order to burn a certain amount of calories, and keeps track of your water intake and allows you to record your weight. You can set up a weight loss program and it shows a history of your weight loss progress as you log you current weights. I Love it and it is absolutely free!

Being willing to take a photo of the scale is a sure sign you’re doing well! I cringe to hear our scale (yes it talks, lol.) I try to hop off before it speaks up!
Hahahaha, I feel you…I do not let my husband see the numbers:)
