A few weeks ago, I had a bit of a scare. I was alone at home with my kids, who are now 7 and 15. I had not been feeling well that day and had actually called my husband, who came home from work just to keep an eye on me. After a bit, I was feeling better, so he went back to work but asked my 15-year-old daughter to keep an eye on me, just in
case.
Well, a couple of hours went by, and I started feeling sick again, but this time around, I was not able to let them know what was going on. I was conscious and knew all that was going on around me, but I could not communicate.
It was scary, but more than anything, frustrating because I saw how both my kids were freaking out, and I
couldn’t do anything to stop it.
Thankfully, my daughter acted like a champ, called 911, distracted her little brother, and was able to take control of what could be a very a traumatic experience for anyone and even more so for kids.
After all this happened, I kept thinking about all the things that could go wrong and how to prevent my kids from being uncared for if something happened to me, their dad, or even worse, both of us.
Once I was out of the hospital, I seriously considered and started to research cheap term life insurance and what the options for us were in that aspect.
I was really surprised to find that there are some affordable options and some of them do not even require a medical exam, which is mind-blowing, in my opinion. What should you consider when looking for life insurance?
