There are many reasons why people decide to start a blog—to share their experiences, their lives, the way they cook, etc. Yes, there are many reasons.

I started to blog about 11 years ago, and if I have to be honest, I had no idea what a blog was. But once I learned about them and what a great source of information they could be, I was hooked and decided to give blogging a try.

A lot has happened in the last decade, and the blogging world keeps on growing and opening new frontiers for many people out there. When I first started blogging, I just wrote about random stuff. It was okay, but if you want to run a well-organized and well-presented blog, then you should do a little research first.

I, like many other people out there, started with a free Blogspot account. It was great for the basics, but when I started to look into more professional-looking layouts and settings, I realized I had to move my blog.

Everything Has a Learning Curve

I moved from Blogspot to WordPress. There are so many different things you can easily achieve using the WordPress platform. Of course, things work differently on different platforms, and it took me a bit of time to learn how to navigate and implement things on my new platform.

If you are one of the smart people who would rather do things correctly from the beginning than go back and “ fix” things after they are done, I highly recommend doing your research first and finding the best option for you.

First Things First

The first thing you need to figure out is why. Why do you want to start blogging, and what do you want to share with the world? Once you know the answer to this question, you can get things rolling, and pieces will fall in to place.

One thing I wish I had when I started researching blogging was a good source of information—a guide to show me or direct me toward the right path, that’s when I decided to invest time in  LadyBossBlogger founded by Elaine Rau.

Yes, there is the good old Google and different search engines, but there is so much scattered information that you might just end up doing what I did: printing hundreds of pages that went in the trash can without being read.

There Is Always Room for Improvement

I am by no means a blogging guru, and I am still learning about blogging resources and trying to improve my blog and the way I project myself. With LadyBossBlogger I was able to learn How To Start A Money Making Blog which is filled with a ton of information and step-by-step guides and parameters for anyone looking to create a nice, professional-looking blog that generates money.

Things like a niche, target audience, brand, social channels, and other fun stuff that you may or may not be familiar with will become part of your life and help you through your blogging journey.
