Press/Media Coverage Disclosure

Last Thursday I received an invitation to attend the Macy’s Clinique exclusive Fall Beauty Launch that was to take place on Saturday at Macy’s Boca Town Center. I was writing them a reply saying no, and not because I didn’t want to go as I love Clinique and really wanted to go to this event, but because I have both of my in-laws in the hospital and we have a lot going on right now and I was not sure I could take the time to visit this fine event.

I thought about it for a minute and decided I could use a little break and an hour learning and trying some Clinique products sounded like a great way to get my mind off the family issues and yes, I went to the event.

Clinique’s exclusive Fall Beauty Launch last Saturday at Macy’s Boca Town Center

Best idea ever. I live about 45 minutes from the Boca Town Center and this was the very first time I visited this mall, but it certainly will not be the last as the mall is really nice and has a great selection of stores!

My Clinique experience

First off, let me start by saying that the Clinique store at the Macy’s in the Boca Town Center is spotless and really nice, but as nice as the store is, the staff was even nicer and I was helped immediately and paired up with Susan whom quickly sat me down in a chair and started with a very needed makeover.

Did you know you can go to one of the Macy’s Clinique stores and have your makeup done totally free? Well you can, and Susan was the person doing the makeup for me.

I told her I like the natural look and she was very thorough explaining what she was using and how she was applying and why…I loved the fact that she took the time to walk me though all the steps as she was going along, even though I stopped her every step to take a photo. She always kept a smile on even though the mall was packed and they were very busy!

The makeover started with dear Susan placing a tissue on my chest to prevent any makeup from falling onto my clothes… She even sprayed a fragrance by Clinique called “happy” which is literally relaxation in a bottle!

The whole process took a bit longer because yours truly kept taking photos and asking a thousand questions about the products and the different shades of products that Susan was using on me.

The end result was a very light and natural makeup and my skin looked hydrated and she was able to work magic with the dark circles under my eyes…I loved it. Thanks Susan.

Skincare, beauty

I noticed that before she applied anything, she sanitized and cleaned the products she was using which I have to say I highly appreciate as I am a bit apprehensive when it comes to using makeup that has been used on other people, but she reassured me and told me that is the Clinique way!

During the event, Macy’s was offering a very appealing 15% discount on the Clinique’s products and a beautiful makeup bag with your initial on it which they were actually personalizing right there. This I must say is the first time I seen a store or brand do something like that and it was a really nice touch!

Macy's

So I would recommend for you to follow Clinique and Macy’s on Facebook and Twitter and keep an eye out for the next event. But just so you know, you can visit a Macy’s Clinique store at any time for a wonderful makeup and anyone looking to learn more about makeup and what products are right for them….

I want to thank Nathalie,Angela, Aubrey and of course Susan for a fabulous Saturday afternoon!
