Review Or Sample Copy Disclosure

One of my first and biggest new year’s resolution was to work and improve my health and shape this year and I have been working towards that goal since the beginning of the year and I have been trying to eat healthy and keep moving in order to build up resistance and get in a whole lot better shape.

The right gear

I believe that to get the outcome I am looking for I need to set myself up for success and the first thing I made sure of is that I have the proper gear and activewear.

Quite often, people will start an exercise regimen or workout routine without paying attention to the tools they will need and that results in frustration when they realize they do not have all they need to get started and keep moving forward.

Think about it. When you decide you are going on a diet but do not buy the diet food and ingredients to follow it, how difficult would that make your task. Exercising has the same basic steps and while you might not need much depending on the route and type of routine you are planning to follow, you will, however, need a few basic elements even if all you are doing is jogging and the proper activewear and a way to track your work out is the best place to start.

Stay focused and do not make excuses for yourself

It is incredibly easy to make excuses for why we should not exercise: I am running late, the house needs cleaning, I have too much work, the kids kept me up last night…All of them good excuses, but not good enough to keep you from what you need to do to get in better health and shape.

My gear

Whenever I decided I am going to start to seriously workout and get in the direction I want health-wise, the first thing I do depends upon the type of approach I want( diet, exercise ) and dictates the way the way I go.

What I normally do, is to start with a low impact exercise like walking to start building my stamina. I have to be honest though, I would not start exercising without music and the proper activewear.

The very first thing I did when I decided to start working out and improving my routine was to look in my closet and get rid of all the “ comfortable”, clothes I collected the last few months. You know those that feel comfortable but don’t necessarily look good on you, and replace them with better fitting and practical clothing.

For activewear that combines comfort with style, I rely on brands like prAna. I have a few of the pieces from their catalog and I love them.

My pick for this first phase of my journey?

The constellation tee, an organic cotton, and hemp V neck and cap sleeve that fits nicely, soft but textured fabric and it wears easy and can be worn with different pieces from the brand’s catalog like the Leda pants which are also made with organic cotton and hemp and features a UPF 50+.

Activewear , pants, yoga pants

Wide, high waistband, front leg seam detail, self-leg cuffs, patchwork on the bag along with triangle gusset make these pants not only flattering but comfortable.

And when you add the airy constellation tee to the mix, you get a go-to outfit that does not sacrifice comfort over looks, so I can wear my outfit when meeting up with friends, running around town or when I decide to go on a walk.

Tops, activewear tops,

Stay active

Staying active and moving is key to a healthier and more productive lifestyle and being active is as simple as walking or riding a bike to places, or simply taking the stairs instead of the elevator.

Self-esteem is key

Self-esteem plays a huge roll in the way we see ourselves and it is the first thing you need to work with and improve.

Set yourself for success

Start with any diet and exercise regimen with achievable goals. Remember you are a unique individual and what works for me, might not work for you. Make sure to find something that works for you and that matches your needs.
