I recived a gift certiicate to help my buy one of the products in the site in order to do a review. My opinions are my own and not by any means influenced by any other part.
A little over two years ago I learned about Novica….Novica is actually associated with The National Geographic and their site is a gateway that allows artisans from all over the world to promote their work and put them in contact with customers that otherwise would never get to know their work. It gives them the chance to find the one- of- a- kind treasures that each artisan creates. Novica was founded in 1999 and has brought together artisan and clients from all over the world to meet on their website.
I love their products and how very distinctive they are; and I certainly love the idea of getting products from exotic places and helping artisans to get their work to all corners of the globe.
The pieces I have gotten from the Novica website are my most exotic pieces and people always comment on the uniqueness of them.
I have recently learned that Novica has launched a new website with the same basic concepts as the original website, but this new website is collaboration with UNICEF USA!
The UNICEF Market and Novica is a match made in heaven and thanks to the Novica logistics and experience on the field they now have access to a world of beautifully designed treasures from all over the world. And the icing on the cake? When you make a purchase from the UNICEF market, you are not only getting amazing handcrafted products, but part of the proceeds go to the artisans that create the pieces and to help UNICEF to save and protect children.
To try the new site I was given a $50.00 gift certificate which I used to get the Fair Trade India Ankle Jewelry in Turquoise and Sterling Silver, ‘India Trends’.
The India Ankle Jewelry Turquoise and Sterling Silver is an astonishing .925 Sterling silver and turquoise piece that is about: 9.75″ min L – x 10.5″ max L x 0.5″ W with a total of 16 pendants with each pendant measuring about 0.4″ L x 0.4″ W x 0.2″ D each plus a silver dangling charm.
The anklet lays flat on your ankle and makes a cute little noise every time you walk. The anklet is made with great quality materials and impeccable craftsmanship. The artisan did an amazing job bringing these materials together and creating a truly beautiful piece of jewelry.
The anklet has a retail price of $151.95 and the UNICEF market has them for just $82.85 and the purchase of this piece can provide 19 doses of measles vaccine to protect children from this deadly disease to those in need!
One thing you need to know, is that this is a separate website from Novica, so even if you are an existing Novica customer, you will need to sign up for the UNICEF market and create your profile as you would do with Novica the first time you make a purchase.
