Honeywell HPA200 True HEPA Large Room Air Purifier

Honeywell HPA200 True HEPA Large Room Air Purifier

You will probably remember from other posts that I have mentioned how my husband has a high tendency to allergies and also that we live in a carpeted condo….Allergies + carpet = not a good idea, so while we know we will need to get rid of the carpet some time, there are other priorities that need to be taken care of first. So I rely on air purifiers to keep the air clean around the house and I have most recently had the chance to try the Honeywell HPA200 True HEPA Large Room Air Purifier with Allergen Remover.

This wide design tower style features a true HEPA filter that captures up to 99.97% of microscopic allergens and filters 0.3 microns or larger from the air that passes through the filter. It helps capture certain airborne germs and it circulates room air up to 5 times an hour.

The unit is extremely user friendly and you will find that all the commands for the air purifier are on top of the unit which has touch technology ( no buttons of any kind). You can turn the unit and change the different settings by touching the different setting symbols on top of the unit.

The Honeywell HPA200 True HEPA Large Room Air Purifier has 3 air cleaning levels plus a Turbo Clean setting that can be used on each of the different settings for an expedited air cleaning in whichever setting you choose. The unit is very quiet in the general cleaning setting, it does get a bit louder in the other settings and while using the turbo on any of the settings, so I use the general cleaning if using at night time and any of the other settings in day time.

The unit also features 2, 4 and 8 hour timer, electronic filter replacement reminders and activated carbon pre-filter which helps reduce unpleasant odors….Please note that before you use your unit for the first time, you need to remove the plastic from the carbon pre-filter, and the two filters used in the unit. All of the filters are located for easy access in the front of the unit.

The Honeywell HPA200 True HEPA Large Room Air Purifier has a light indicator that allows you to easily identify which setting you are using… The light indicator can be turned off if desired. I personally prefer to have it on so I know exactly what setting is in use at any given time.

Lately I have been having a lot of allergy issues myself and I find that using air purifiers helps me a lot. DH also likes the use of this type of unit in the house and any time he does have one his allergy attacks I make sure to run the air purifier for a few hours on one of the higher settings….My daughter had a really bad case of Pneumonia just a few weeks ago and from what I have been told, her lungs will take a few months to go back to normal so that is another good reason for me to try to keep the air in the house as clean as possible.

This air purifier is definitely a great addition to the house hold. The Honeywell HPA200 True HEPA Large Room Air Purifier has retail price of $229.95 and is on sale tight now for $199.95.
