Lugz, the brand Built for the Street, has always been an innovator and leader in urban footwear. Lugz first made a name for itself in October of 1993, when it brought its first line of boots to market. Soon afterwards Lugz was endorsed by key players from the world of hip hop and has continued to do so throughout the years by creating trendsetting styles beyond boots, adding casual shoes and athletics to the mix.

A few months ago I was given the opportunity to review one of their boots and since my brother is a civil engineer and is always in the field I decided to go with the Classic Drifter work boot which worked perfect for him and his line of work…He liked the boots so much, that when I was given the opportunity to try pair of one of the new Lugz designs I immediately thought of him and since father’s day is quickly approaching I thought this would make a wonderful father’s day present.

In this opportunity I bring you the Lugs Zone Hi SR. The military style design features a hard and durable slip resistant outsole, making these boots a great work boot especially if you work outdoors. The Zone Hi SR is made with high quality material and while a good fit for work, it is also a really nice looking boot.

What makes the Zone a nice pair of boots for work? Well, let see they have Leather upper, along with the skip resistant outsole, and for added comfort, they feature a padded tongue and collar along with cushioned insole.

The short design boots are a great protective shoe that can be worn all year around. The boots are brown with an off-white stitching that creates a nice contrast between both colors and enhances the look on the boots.
