Whenever I am shopping for shoes for the ladybug, there are several features that I seek: Quality, comfort, functionality, and of course I want the shoes to be as cute as possible. Pediped has all of these qualities and then some which is the reason why I am a big fan of the Pediped shoes and also why I am always more than happy to try their cute shoes.
Pediped has one of the biggest varieties of kid’s shoes and the Pediped shoes are designed to promote healthy foot development for your little one. The brand was also one of the first children’s footwear companies to be awarded with the American Podiatric Medical Association Seal of acceptance for promoting healthy foot development. The great thing about Pediped, besides what I just mentioned, is the fact that they have such a great variety of designs that there is a shoe for you no matter what are you looking for.
They have shoe sizes that range from newborn to age 2+ (original design) and their rubber- soled shoes for children 1-6 years of age (flex). Pediped has recently launched a new line of athletic footwear! Engineered for comfort and built for speed, pediped’s new line of athletic footwear has an ultra-light weight of just five ounces (based on a size 27), flex grooves for maximum flexibility and are machine washable.
The Flex Neptune is one of the shoes on the Pediped athletic shoe line. The ladybug started kindergarten this year and the school has been very specific on the kids only wearing sneakers… so I needed a pair of good quality, durable tennis shoes for her and that is where Pediped came in to play. It is also a great shoe for outdoors now that the school is almost over!
The Flex Neptune is a stylish light weight design that features a Velcro closure that allows little ones like my little lady that is not trained on how to tie her shoes yet, to put on and take off her own shoes giving them a feeling of independence that is really important for them at this age.
The lightweight Neptune features flex grooves which provide extreme flexibility, and a breathable mesh upper that allows for airflow…awesome for hot weather places like Florida, but also for extra comfort.
The shoes also feature a heel cushion that protects against impact and distributes pressure evenly. The Flex Fit System™ feature allows kids to adjust the fit of their shoes….Since the ladybug spends about 8 hours a day in her shoes, this is certainly one of my favorite features as this specific feature allows the extended use of the shoes throughout the day. The Neptune has also shown a great resistance against kid’s wear as other shoes have not stood up against the abuse my little bug can bring upon a pair of shoes like the Neptune has!
