Jade Roller
As someone who tries to keep up with the different beauty trends, I was very curious about a little tool that seems to be getting more and more popular: the Jade Roller Kit with Face Serum.

This ancient looking thingamajig is shaped like a double-sided paint roller with a bigger roller on top made from solid Jade. Jade has been used for generations by the Chinese, and the beginning of the jade roller goes back centuries to when members of high Chinese society used these as a beauty tool.

The jade roller is usually composed of two stones. The larger stone is used for the forehead, cheeks, and jaw, and the smaller one is meant to be used around the mouth and under the eyes.

This kit features the ancient jade rolling tool with a modern twist—it includes not only the 100% natural jade roller but also a vitamin C hyaluronic acid facial serum. The use of these two elements together is meant to reduce the look of a double chin and neck folds, eye puffiness, enlarged pores, and fine lines and wrinkles. It also supposed to help firm, tighten, and brighten your look while reviving the skin for a more vibrant look. While I cannot attest to all of that, I can tell you about the cool, calming effect it had on my skin, especially when I kept my jade roller in the refrigerator.

How to Use

Apply the serum or any moisturizer to clean and dry skin. Using gentle pressure (the weight of the jade is sufficient—no need for extra pressure) roll the tool from the center of your face in upward and outward motions. The gentle massaging motion is supposed to increase circulation and “stimulate the lymphatic system and lymphatic drainage throughout the face.”

The company recommends using the roller two to four times a day to see better results I am only using it in the morning time and at bedtime, so you might see a quicker result than if you go with their recommendation.

I personally like the way my skin feels, and while I have not seen a huge difference (I have only used the jade roller for a few days), I like process and feeling. I also believe this would be a nice source of stimulation for the lymphatic system.

Overall Impression

I like this little jade roller and believe it is a nice addition to my beauty routine.
