Building blocks are probably one of those activities that kids love forever and they can start with at a very early age. They are also an excellent way to promote hand and eye coordination, building skills, and standalone play.
There are many different types of blocks that will allow kids, of different ages, to let their imaginations take charge and create from basic constructions to more intricate buildings and objects.
Today’s building blocks are not exactly the kind of building blocks that I had when I was a child but now you can use building blocks like Magformers magnetic tiles to create things that you could only imagine to build with building blocks.
Fun for all ages
The recommended age for the Magformers magnetic tiles is 3+ but I let my little one play with them as long as I am with him.
I must be honest, these magnetic tiles are a lot of fun, not just for him, but for me too, and I truly enjoy playtime with the baby when we are building different things using these magnetic tiles.
Magformers are available in a wide selection of sets that will allow your child (and you) to actually create a determined project, which definitely requires a bit more skill than what a 2 or 3-year-old can do. This is what I like about these sets of magnetic ties, you can always do free play and stock the tiles however your heart desires.
Once your kids are old enough to follow instructions, they can build the actual final product that the set in question allows you to build.
One of my favorites
You can find small sets for a quick building time, or you can go with something a bit more complicated and challenging like the Magformers Log Cabin 87Pc Set.
A blast for boys and girls
Gender-neutral like this set will allow boys and girls of different age groups to have lots of fun, and use Magformers building techniques to create Cabins, Tree Houses and more! You can decorate your log cabins by clipping in the balconies and walls. Add windows, ladders, lay turf, build fences, and plant trees…
The sky is the limit and kids will love to see their construction take form into something they have created by themselves or with a bit of help from siblings, mom, or dad.
A great collection starter
These sets are great to start a collection and add different sets that could be added to the existing set for special occasions like birthdays and holidays to create as much or as little as you want.
I personally love these tiles and plan on adding more sets to the one we have for even more fun including mom and baby building time.
The pieces come in different sizes, colors, and shapes to allow your kids to build things that would not have been possible to build with traditional building blocks!
The Magformers Log Cabin 87Pc Set has a retail price of $99.99, but remember, there are many other sets including smaller ones to accommodate your budget!
