I am having my baby shower this weekend and I’ve had a lot of fun working on my registry. I learned a lot about some new products that are available for little ones and spent a good amount of time researching and learning about these products and making sure I have the right items on my list.
What were your must have products for your baby shower? Here are some of the products I had to have included in my list for this baby.
Bottle sterilizer
To keep all baby bottles clean and sanitized…this was actually a big one for me as I needed a unit that would do the job without taking too much counter space and I also wanted it to be easy to use.
Bottle warmer
I have every intention to breast feed and store some milk for when we are on the go or the baby has to be fed by daddy or grandma, so a good bottle warmer is very important.
Baby bottles and pacifiers
Are good to have on hand. Actually, I love getting these in gift sets so they match which I think is really cute and Tommee Tippee has just realized a super adorable line of baby gift sets that includes 1-5oz decorated bottle,1- 9oz decorated bottle,1x 0-6m decorated pacifier,1-decorated bib,1- blue muslin square,1- blue hat, mitts and booties set. This is great as these are all items I have on my list, so getting them in a gift pack is really nice because then they will all match and add to the cute factor!
Swing
I had a swing for my daughter and it was used every single day, so I decided a good swing was one of those items I could not do without!
Diaper bag
Is also a good item to add to your list and a necessity as you will use your bag pretty much every day, so make sure you pick one that goes along with your personality and life style.
Grooming kit
This one of the items I added to my list and one thing that would be very handy from the beginning for your baby.
The first thing you need to decide is if you are going to go with an infant car seat or a convertible and then, what kind of stroller works best for you. Make sure to look at sizes, and weight class of both car seat and stroller, especially if you have a small car.
These are all great choices. My sister will be having a baby shower coming up here shortly as she is expecting her baby in September. I am very excited to become an aunt!

Congrats and I hope you had fun at your shower! I had a ton of fun learning about all of the baby products on the market. I, like you, used a swing all of the time in the beginning. Bottles and a warmer are definite must-haves for pumping. I didn’t have a sterilizer, but kick myself for not springing for one. I spent way too much time standing over the sink scalding my hands with hot water scrubbing bottles and parts. 🙂
