Do you Love Italian food? Then you need to check what BRAVO Cucina Italiana and BRIO Tuscan Grille have in store to celebrate the upcoming National Ravioli Day which is Sunday, March 20th! Both restaurants will be offering 50% off select ravioli dishes, and since they are normally priced at under $20, 50% off is really a price you can’t afford to pass up.

They have everything from Ravioli Alla Vodka to Braised Beef Ravioli, and if you can’t make it on the 20th…Do not worry, they plan to celebrate for three whole days (from Sunday, March 20 through Wednesday, March 23).

I was invited to visit one of the many locations and visited BRAVO Cucina Italiana on Friday to try their Ravioli Alla Vodka and a couple of other dishes from their menu.

If I have to be honest, I have to admit that I had never heard of the restaurant before, but after visiting their location in Jupiter –BRAVO Harbourside Place, I am really happy to have found this restaurant.

It was a really nice surprise to arrive to the location and discover that the restaurant is located at Harbourside Place near an Outdoor Amphitheater on the intracoastal.

Just a wonderful location

The location could not be better, the restaurant is surrounded by several stores in an exclusive area and it is within a few steps of the Outdoor Amphitheater, so you can bring all the family and have dinner and then enjoy of any performance they might have at the amphitheater and go for a nice walk….Really nice!

We arrived at the restaurant right on time for our reservation (while the restaurant is pretty big, I really recommend you make a reservation which you can even do online). Once we were seated, the waiter quickly brought freshly baked, delicious herb bread and flavored oil that was simply to die for.

There were four of us and we all decided to order different items from the menu including the Ravioli Alla Vodka which was a very popular item and once I tried mine, I quickly figured out why.

The Crispy Shrimp Ravioli with Capellini Napoli

Served with charred tomato Diavolo sauce which gives the raviolis a little kick, and a lemon butter sauce that accompanies the angel hair pasta that comes in the middle of the plate surrounded by the raviolis, parmesan and topped with arugula.bravo4

The pasta was cocked to perfection and the raviolis are the best raviolis I have tried so far…the combination of the two sauces used on this dish work really well together and tie everything together really nicely.

We also tried the lobster bisque which actually had tiny little shrimps in it and unlike any other lobster bisque I’ve had before, was a little spicy which was very interesting, not too hot just the perfect amount so you can feel a little heat in the bisque.

Grilled Chicken Marsala

Mushroom Marsala wine sauce, Tuscan mashed potatoes, seasonal vegetables….the chicken on this dish was charred which gave it a really nice and just off the grill flavor. The vegetables were cooked just right and the mashed potatoes were very well made, creamy and fluffy…the best part, definitely the mushrooms.

Caprese Salad

You would think that a Caprese Salad is just marinated tomatoes, fresh Mozzarella, basil, field greens, balsamic glaze, true, but you need to know how to put these ingredients together and Bravo did a great job…The salad had the right amount of balsamic so all the ingredients were covered but didn’t drip.
Last but not least was the deserts….My favorite was the cheese cake! Delicious New York style cheesecake with a shortbread cookie crust, sprinkled with sugar and caramelized (think crème brulee) to order. Served with vanilla bean anglaise and a strawberry on top and yes, it is as good as it sounds!
