A few weeks ago I was contacted by Tatcha Beauty products to see if I was interested in doing a review of their products… Tatcha, is a beauty company that is inspired by ancient Geisha skincare traditions as translated from a 200-year old text. TATCHA products are available exclusively in Barneys U.S., online at Tatcha.com, and in a variety of boutique retailers around the world.

They launched over two years ago with their signature beauty blotting papers, which were originally created and used by gold craftsmen. Most recently they have announced the availability of their full skincare line. ……I was definitely interested in trying their products. Tatcha has created their line of products that is available for Dry Skin, Normal/ Combination Skin and Oily Skin…They have called their beauty routine “The Ritual” and it is composed by four main steps:

Step 1: PURE Camellia One Step Cleansing Oil made with a blend of camellia and rice bran oils. With the Camellia cleansing oil …the first thing you need to know about is that there is nothing oily on this cleanser so you will not be left with a sticky oily sensation on your skin. Actually the PURE Camellia One Step Cleansing Oil works as a milk ..all you need to do is add a little bit of the oil on your wet hands and rub them together .

You can use the cleansing oil on your whole face and that includes your eyes …Now before I tried these products I was using an upscale eye makeup remover for which I paid 27.00 for the 4 fl. oz bottle…I can actually get the Tatcha Cleansing Oil 5.1 fl. oz. for 48.00 but I do not need to buy an extra face cleanser, so you do the math. The best part is that the Camellia One Step Cleansing Oil is actually one if not the best cleanser I have tried.  I absolutely love the smooth and fresh look I get just by using the first step of the Tatcha ritual.

The oil is lightly scented and very light weighted and just a little amount of the product goes a long ways.
Step 2 of the ritual is the POLISHED Rice Enzyme Powder which is a water-activated enzyme powder of rice bran, papaya and HADASEI-3 Bioactive Complex (a proprietary anti-aging complex of: Green Tea Complete DNA Extract, Okinawa Red Algae Extract and Japanese Rice Bran Extract). You use the powder on wet hands and it becomes some kind of creamy mouse that feels really nice on the skin.

The POLISHED Rice Enzyme Powder exfoliates without harsh abrasives for a natural baby-soft skin feel and look. If not wearing makeup, it works as a 2-in-1 cleanser. My skin feels really nice after using this step which I do every few days as opposed to doing it every day. The retail price on the Rice enzyme powder is 65.00.

Step 3  for my skin type (mix to normal) is the Radiant Deep Brightening Serum which is actually good for all skin types. The Radiant Deep Brightening Serum is very light weight, easily absorbed and lightly scented product that feels really refreshing and rejuvenating. Radiant Deep Brightening Serum from Tatcha is a brightening serum made with time-tested Asian botanicals and HADASEI-3 Bioactive Complex for healthy looking skin.

As I said the serum feels amazingly refreshing on your skin….Great to replenish your skin when feeling dry and tiered. The retail price on the Brightening serum is 150.00.

The fourth step to this beauty routine is the SUPPLE Moisture Rich Silk Cream. This is a light weight gel-cream that combines liquid silk, squalane, royal jelly + HADASEI-3 Bioactive Complex.

This long-lasting anti-aging moisturizer without heavy oils is the perfect finishing touch for the Tatcha beauty ritual. This cream feels more greasy than the any other previous step, but by the same token it provides you with a really nurturing moisturizing feel and doesn’t really have any heavy oils in the ingredients. The cream works great for my skin type (combination skin), as I said the Tatcha Ritual is offered for different skin types and the steps will vary depending on your skin type.

The SUPPLE Moisture Rich Silk Cream has a retail price of 150.00
