One of the biggest problems today is finding the much needed me time!  With the fast moving life we all live nowadays, we quite often neglect time to kick back, relax, and do things we love but that quite often are put on the back burner, because there are more important things to do.

Take some time off

Work, school, family, friends are just part of everyday life and while all of them are a priority, finding the time to indulge yourself with some quiet time can make a great difference on your personal and even professional life.

An hour a day might be all you need to recharge and clear your head and there are many ways to truly enjoy an hour to yourself.

Your bathtub can work wonders

Take a long warm bubble bath to relax your muscles and free your head.  Add a scented calming scent to create an even more relaxing atmosphere, grab that book that you have been dying to read but have not had a chance to, grab a magazine for easy reading or simply relax and do nothing while soaking in the warm water.

 

Music can be the answer

Music can affect our mood in many ways and put on a pair of headphones and listen to your “to go” high school hit list.  It might be all you need to change the way your day or even your week is going.  While you can simply turn on the radio and listen to music, the headphone experience can help you relax and shelter yourself from outside noises that might interfere with your enjoyment of the music.

Watch a movie

You do not need to leave home to enjoy a great movie, maybe something new or an old favorite, either way, turn off the lights, get the popcorn ready and relax.  This is also something you can even do with the whole family and have a great time doing a whole lot of nothing.

 

Slow down

Quite often all we need is just slow down, take a big breath, and look out the window.  Enjoy the view and take in that sunset or sunrise that you often take for granted.

Work out

Working out can be a wonderful time and remember, you do not need a gym membership to get moving and get fit.  Walking is a wonderful exercise that is low impact, does not require equipment or gear, and can be a great way to release stress.
