I received a Diono car seat in exchange for my honest and unbiased opinion.
Whenever I am in the market for a car seat, infant, booster or convertible, the very first thing that I look for is safety. After all, that is the whole reason we use car seats for our babies. The next thing I want to make sure of, whether the car seat is comfortable.
Between both my kids I have gone through a fair share of all three types or car seats from different brands. One of my very favorite brands, without doubt, is Diono. The brand is well known for their full steel frame and aluminum reinforced sides. While the brand does not carry infant car seats, they offer a great selection of convertible car seats which I am using for the baby right now and planning to still use for the next few years.
Diono has revamped their website and logo and has an even more user-friendly interface that allows you to quickly find what you are looking for!

Diono has different styles booster and convertible car seats and one of their most popular, and one of my personal favorites, is the Diono radian rXT. It has many safety features and is one of the best looking car seats out there. They have changed their covers to a selection of trendy eye-catching colors!

The Diono radian rXT features :
• Premium plush interlock knit fabric which is available in 5 different colors.
• Full steel frame and aluminum reinforced sides for extra safety.
• SuperLATCH system, Energy absorbing EPS foam, and side impact protection.
• Safe Stop® energy-absorbing harness, 12-position adjustable headrest, 5 shoulder, and 3 buckle positions for added comfort.
• Expandable sides and long seat bottom for proper leg support and low-sitting profile, which makes it easier for the little passenger to sit in.
• Cup holder, rubber bottom grips for non-slip installation.
• Infant body support cushions and memory foam, which is not as wide as most convertible car seats on the market, allowing you to fit up to 3 car seats in most vehicles.
• It is NCAP crash tested and seats rear-facing children from 5-45 lbs, forward-facing children from 20-80 lbs in a 5-point harness, then converts to a booster for children up to 120 lbs.
• It can conveniently fold which makes it a lot easier to transport!
What else you need to know?
It’s fairly easy to install, there is a belt that you will need to hold on to as you will need it when you switch from rear facing to forward facing. The covers are washable and relatively easy to take off and put back on.

The cup holder can be a bit tricky to install, the cover has a small hole on the side that you will need to locate and basically force the cup through. It might look like your car seat does not have this little opening, but it is there, just a bit hard to spot sometimes.

Heavy is good, and I like it!
The Diono radian rXT is on the heavy side , but that is because of the reinforce metal frame and 95 % of the time ( except for when I am traveling), the car seat stays in the car so I don’t have to carry it around. I have no problem whatsoever with the little extra weight .

The car seat has a 10-year life and a retail price of $359.99

Their Dreamline Travel Bassinet is really nice, too. I like the side panel that you & the baby can see through. As for 3 items I need on a family vacation, I would say a phone (yes, I’m panicky about car breakdowns & emergencies!), extra cash for emergencies when cash is necessary & something to keep my nephews occupied on long drives (tablets, games, DVD player.)
Id love to try the pacifica convertible . Ive wanted a Diono for a long time bc they seem like top of the line seats. we try to keep it simple when traveling but I feel like Im always packing a lot of stuff lol. we def take snacks and water. toys and books to keep everyone occupied is a must as well.

I would love to also try their Cambria booster seat as well. It looks safe and comfortable just like the Monterey. Our top products for traveling is a booster seat (of course), snacks, and an iPad with new apps and movies. Those are must haves for my grandsons whenever we go anywhere on vacation.
The Diono Dreamliner compact-folding travel bed would be terrific to have while traveling during the holidays. Baby would have a comfortable and safe place to sleep no matter where we’re staying.

While I love the full booster seat for my grandson, for those times that we are visiting and just need a quick booster seat for a friend, this is great. They look very well built and won’t take up a lot of storage space. It seems we always end up lugging car seats between one car and another.

I know my grandkids that are all 5 now could sure use the radian® r100 . I love the foldable options on seats…so clunky to move!
WOW, traveling with my own kids is pretty much in the past, but I’d say most important travel items are always snacks that are clean and easy….lots of baby wipes…and not the most important FOR the kids but for any travelers…a charged cell phone!
I also really like the travel bassinet. The three things that I always pack for vacation are a good camera, extra chargers and a backup credit card. Diono is a very popular brand right now!
The dreamliner. I know my brother needs one for his little girl. They have one but she’s growing and it’s not one of those that changes with age. Thanks for the Holiday Spirit.
