I know some people spend quite some time drying and styling their hair. I’ve always said I was super lucky to have straight hair (not the norm in the Dominican Republic, where I am from), and the reason is very simple: I have never had the patience to sit down and get a hair drier to dry my hair. About 95 % of the time, I would just wash my hair and let it air dry. Not very stylish, but I have always been able to get away with it.
Florida weather, however, has not been exactly great for either my hair or my skin, and I have been dealing with frizzy hair, which never happened to me in the DR or Spain.
Trying Different Hair Products
The amount of hair products I have tried to try to help my hair to look the way it did before I moved to Florida is seriously ridiculous. But hey, I am always in the best disposition to help my hair.
It never occurred to me that the help for my hair would come in the form of a hairdryer Well actually, while it is a gadget that dries your hair, it is not by any means a traditional hair drier.
RevAir
The world’s first and only reverse-air dryer was launched in 2018 by a team of beauty industry experts that managed to deliver a game-changing system that will, in my opinion, forever change the way people dry their hair.
So what is the RevAir? The easy way to describe this one-of-a-kind gadget is a vacuum for your hair. I know it sounds a bit bizarre, but that is technically what it does and even what it looks like. But the results and benefits are far from what a vacuum cleaner can do for your hair.
The RevAir Reverse-Air Dryer is on the heavy side and is kind of bulky, which had me worried at first. But after trying it the first time, I knew I would make the space for it in my bathroom and actually got a cute wicker ottoman to be its permanent home.
Easy to Use
The RevAir Reverse-Air Dryer was really easy to set up and is even easier to use. RevAir recommends dividing your hair into sessions to make the process easier, but because my hair is relatively short and thin, I don’t even have to do that. I just grab sections of my hair and place it in the wand as I go.
There are three heat settings—low, high, and no heat—and the unit has seven different speeds, allowing you to customize the setting according to your hair needs.
My hair is shoulder length and a breeze to style with the RevAir. My favorite part is that it has completely eliminated the need for a hairbrush. I get salon-like results in a matter of minutes with no other products beyond my shampoo and conditioner. I brush my hair once after I get out of the shower and don’t need to pick it up again during the rest of the process.
Not only is the styling time reduced, but the highest heat level is nearly half the wattage of a traditional blow dryer, which means less damage for your hair.
There is only one way to describe the results I get from the RevAir Reverse-Air Dryer, and that is amazing! But don’t take my word for it. I actually recorded a video showing you the whole process, so you can see it with your own eyes.
The RevAir Reverse-Air Dryer with a wand holder usually retails for $439, but it’s on sale now for $399 or four interest-free installments of $99.75.
The RevAir Total Package, which includes the unit, the wand holder, hair clips, spray water bottle, and turban, retails for $484 but is on sale now for $429 or four interest-free installments of $107.25.
At first glance, it looks like a crazy amount of money for a “hairdryer,” but after I calculated the money I will be saving on other hair products, it is actually not as bad as I thought, especially because I can have professional looking blowouts from home. No appointments, no waiting, and no extra costs.
RevAir is the ultimate hair drying and straightening device in one!
