The biggest enemy of this generation is without a doubt stress and the fast-paced world we are living in. It seems that we are all rushing to get somewhere or to do something, which heavily affects our moods and increases stress levels.
High blood pressure is known as a silent killer because, in most cases, it gives you no signs and can lead to major health issues, including heart attacks.
My 2019 New Year’s Resolutions
I have already made a list of things I want to accomplish next year and have already started to work on some of them. A big item on my list is to slow down and enjoy the moment, which is one of the big rules of Zen.
Zen living has become more and more popular. People all over the world are joining this movement that basically tells you to slow down! It sounds simple enough, but the reality is that many of us have the tendency to go as fast as possible and try to be an overachiever to stay up-to-date with today’s pace.
Zen Attitude
Having a Zen attitude means finding the joy and mindfulness of the moment you are living in and concentrating on the present to help release stress, frustration, anxiety, and even anger.
Letting go is a novel concept but can be difficult to achieve unless you concentrate and give yourself the opportunity to breathe and take in what is around you. Quite often, we move too fast to really appreciate what we have and those around us.
I want to break this cycle, slow down, and smell the roses.
Me-Time
The very first thing you need to do is find some time for yourself. Yes, me-time is super important and can make not only you but those around you happier.
Find the things that center you and find the time to do those things. Walking, reading, or painting can be very relaxing and help you find the balance you are looking for.
Zen for the Holidays
The Buddha Board was inspired by the Zen idea of living in the moment. The brand has created and developed a series of boards that allow you to simply paint on the surface with nothing other than a paintbrush and water.
You can see your creations come to life, and once the water starts to evaporate, your art piece will simply disappear, and it is time to create a new masterpiece. It’s a symbolic way to let your worries melt away and start with a clean slate.
Buddha Boards are a novel concept and a great way to walk the path of living the moment!
The Buddha Board is environmentally friendly because it only uses water. It is a unique gift for anyone on your holiday gift list who could use a break.
