I have been wanting a little makeover for quite some time now and my main goal is a breast lift. I do not need or want big breasts, all I want is to get my breasts back in the condition they were in before kids. My reasons are beyond the aesthetics, it’s a matter of comfort and self-confidence.

I breastfed both kids. I knew that would change the way my breast looked, but I did not care, my kids always came first!

Now that I am done having kids, I started toying with the idea, once more, trying to figure out if this is something I really want to do. I have always been of the idea that if you do not need to go through an OP room, then you shouldn’t. But the idea was there and wouldn’t go away.

What Should I Know Beforehand?
Surgery is a big step and if you have decided you are taking that step and having plastic surgery, then research should be the first thing on your list.

If you are a Kardashian, chances are, the price is something that you are not concerned about. I get it, but you work hard for your money and want to save it. By the same token, this is not a pair of jeans that you are buying and want to get a good deal on!

Research, research, research, and not just the prices, but the doctors and procedures. Look for reviews online and if you have family or friends that have been through the procedure, ask them too. There is no such a thing as too much information when it comes to choosing the best options for you.

Thinking Of Having Surgery Outside The US?

One day while I was going through different channels I came across a TV reality show Botched, an E! TV series that premiered on June 24, 2014. It follows doctors Terry Dubrow and Paul Nassif as they “remedy extreme plastic surgeries gone wrong. I watched the whole episode…

I have to admit that I do not purposely look for the show in the TV guide. Whenever I come crossed the reruns I watch them, sometimes, to see the many ways a surgery can go wrong or see some of the extreme cases of people that get hooked on to these procedures and spend their lives and life savings in perusing a look that is, in some cases, impossible and even unrealistic.

The thing is, every now and then the show will have cases of people that went outside the USA for surgery, looking for a more inexpensive alternative, but a lot of the cases are from doctors located and practicing in the USA.

My point is, that no matter where you go, things can go wrong and there is an increased risk when you go outside your country. The sources of information are limited and quite often people go to surgeons that they do not know anything about and that is where the danger lays.

Listen to the Signs
It is amazing to me, when watching these episodes, people talked about red flags that should have made them walk away, but they decide to ignore.

This is your life and your body that we are talking about. If you have a gut feeling that something is not right, RUN!
